Thinking of you sympathy card

Hello everyone,

We came back from holiday a couple days ago having had wonderful weather and a great time. We were in the beautiful East Sussex countryside in a converted stable cottage that had a lovely garden which backed on to a wildflower meadow that in turn led on to a secluded wood. We visited gardens and pretty villages on the South Downs, and I even managed to fit in a workshop at the Craft Barn and at the Glitter Pot craft shops! The weather was so hot that there was a real problem with glue setting far too quickly but my sticky fingers just added to the fun.

Whilst at the cottage, a baby blue tit decided to come inside to visit and then panicked when it couldn't get out. OK it was me that panicked but my husband gently caught the bird and took it outside to continue its adventures.

When we returned, we had some sad news that a friend's father had died so I made a quick sympathy card to send. I really should keep some sympathy cards on hand but it always seems more tempting to make celebration cards instead. Anyway back to the mound of washing. Have a great week and as always, it would be great to hear your comments.

PTI delight in life card

Hello again,

I can't believe I've managed 2 posts in one day. I should have been packing but I took a break this afternoon to make a quick card for the challenges at Passion for Papertrey and Splitcoast Stampers. The challenge was to make a one layer card, which sounded easy but really made me think about how many embellishments I am using using on my cards.these days.

I used Kraft card stock for the first time and made a panel by using a nestability label die as a mask. I used the Life PTI stamp set and curved the flower to echo the shape of the panel. A random butterfly stamp to finished it off.

I'm off on my hols tomorrow so no more posts for a while. Thanks for visiting and your comments are always very much appreciated.

Cricut walk in my garden for you card

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog on this beautiful Wednesday morning. On my continued search for space and order in my craft supplies, I came across another card I made with the Cricut Walk in My Garden cartridge. I was inspired at a Crab Apple Crafts workshop I attended to get this cartridge and I have a few cards made at the workshop that I will share. (When I can find them!)

Penny Black special day card

Hello again,

I have been having a clear out of some crafting materials that I no longer use this week, and I haven't spent much time crafting. So, instead of a new card, I'm going to share one I made a little while ago with a very cute Penny Black acrylic stamp. I am definitely converted to clear stamps now because they take up far less space than the wooden backed ones. Does anyone have any tips for getting my old rubber stamps off their wooden blocks so I can give them a new lease of life?

Materials
Card -Making Memories Kids Collection -Emma
Stamp - Penny Black - Hugs Clear set
HOTP Big brad and rub on
Marvy le Plume 11 pens used for water colouring.
Gems and ribbon from stash and a little glitter.

Hope you have a good weekend for the start of the World Cup. Comments are always appreciated.

Cricut/PTI new baby card

Hello again.  We have taken advantage of the glorious sunshine this week so I have not had much time to sit and craft. However, some lovely news that a good friend has a new granddaughter, prompted me to get back inside and produce a welcome baby card. They have called the baby girl Daisy, so I decided to make  a daisy type card rather than a traditional baby one. The current challenge at a Passion for Paprtrey is to use chipboard so I used some for the flowers on the card. It was the first time that I have tried to cut chipboard on my Cricut and it took 5 cuts with the multi cut feature to get all the way through because I do not have the deep housing blade. I've also discovered some new challenge blogs so I have also entered this card for the Tuesday Taggers challenge, The Alphabet challenge and the Charisma Cardz challenge.

Materials used

Card PTI dark chocolate, sweet blush and some green from paperbox.
Stamps PTI Background Basics, Blonde Moments Sweet Nothings
Ink Deep Orchid from ColorBox
Cricut Walk in My garden cartridge
Ribbon coloured with promarker and daisy brads from stash.
