Papertrey Ink birthday card

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog,

Its Papertrey Blog Hop day and this time Nichole gave us this picture to use as inspiration for a project

June Blog Hop inspiration

The picture looked really girly to me so I decided to do a little girl birthday card using the Out of this World set because rockets are not just for boys are they? I tried to match the blue colour and inked in a sky as a base.

I matted the base onto raspberry fizz card and die cut the rocket and moon before using Copics for colour. I used a little Glossy accents to give a raised porthole effect and added some glitter for a some bling. I used a mixture of sentiments from OOTW, Its a Celebration and Birthday Basics. I die cut a fillable frame to slip behind the top right corner,

and popped a little raspberry fizz ribbon and a flower brad on the lower left corner to balance it.

Well I think that's enough pink to satisfy the girliest of girls and I'm going to finish now so I can get round to see what lovely inspiration everyone else got. Happy hopping!

Hugs

Great job on using OOTW to make a girl card. Of course rockets aren't just for boys.

Great card! I love how you took a traditionally male image and made it into what is clearly a girl card! Cute!

Oh I love where the photo led you, Carol! This girly spaceship card is the sweetest! Your layout is fab, too, I just keep circling around the card to see all of the cuteness from the moon, to the flowery button, to the sentiment. Great job with this inspiration challenge!
