Hi everyone,
Thank you to Stella and Onecraftymama for your advice over my Blogger problem. I have taken your advice and installed Chrome which has done the trick.
I'm sorry my series on the CAS course stopped so abruptly but life got in the way again and although the course is now over, I hope to finish it over the next few weeks. I really enjoyed trying other peoples techniques and I've decided that I must try casing more because I'd get a lot more cards made without waiting for inspiration to strike me!
Today is Papertrey Blog Hop day and this month "we are challenging you to pick your favourite project from 2011 and share it with all of us! To take it a step further, you are also challenged to create a second card that is inspired by the favourite project you select. Your new version of an old favourite could carry over the colour scheme, the layout or the stamp sets."
I picked this card that I made last year because I loved the colours and the use of the sentiments

Because I didn't have much time, I just copied it in another colour but with a plain star this time as my daughter asked me to make this for her but she didn't like the multi coloured star.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy all the inspiration you find on the hop today.
Hugs
Carol
I just love both of them Carol, they are the same but have such a different feel. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove both of these adorable cards. I love the colors you used, and the way you combined the sentiments. Hope your computer woes are over, and great job on your cards! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow can I not love them both! Beautiful and fun , love that star!
ReplyDeleteBoth great cards Carol. Really love your new version- great, bold colors!
ReplyDeleteThese are both wonderful cards. I'm thinking you used Star prints, which I don't have, but might need. I think I like the second better--agree with your daughter, but really, would be quite happy to receive either for my birthday! Well, I am several lessons behind in class, too--also because of life--but I am determined to finish at some point, as I must get my money's worth.
ReplyDeleteTw0o gorgeous cards. Love the rainbow star, but I do think the single color one is a bit more elegant. Awesome job with both.
ReplyDeleteThese are both awesome with those fun, bright colors and fabulous sentiments!!! Don't you love when a family member likes one enough to request another?!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth are so pretty, love all the colors!
ReplyDeleteI love the focal point of the star, but I think my favorite part is the balance of the sentiments both on the top and the bottom... its perfect!
ReplyDeleteBoth are so cute and very fun!
ReplyDeleteCarol, your star cards are amazing. I really love the multicolored star-so creative! ;)
ReplyDeleteI like them both, but I have to say, I think I like the new version better. maybe the colorful star with the pink mat and ink? Really lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love both cards. The rainbow star looks fab.
ReplyDeleteCarol, the colors...the composition all wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the huge star as the focal point....and the way you did the different colored papers on the first one...Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are super! Love the huge star on both of them.
ReplyDeleteThose wonderfully layered stars make a wonderful focal point for your card! So cheery and just perfect with the sentiments you chose, Carol!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are FABULOUS - love how you used the stars in different ways - so colorful and cool!Sorry for being so late on commenting, but I had to work late last night, hugs, Karin
ReplyDeleteI adore these! Bright, happy colors and a great layout (making my heart sing)- I might have to CASE your work- these are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these. I can't believe that I never noticed how perfectly the small star fits inside the large one! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYep! Good choice! I do like your first card as well, but the second one even better, 'cause the colors are more coordinated and I always love that! The sentiments are surely perfect here, very nice!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Wendy
