Silhouette Cameo Wedding Card

Hello everyone, and welcome to Katrina and Cheryl who are new followers this week. We have had a very hectic but enjoyable week attending my friend's wedding and celebrating my youngest son's birthday, so I am ready for a chilled weekend. The family are coming this evening for Easter Sunday Dinner and I am sure that chocolate is going to feature heavily!!

You may remember I mentioned that my friend had a surprise proposal on Valentine's Day and I held a Hen Night for her a couple of weeks ago. The wedding itself was a small but beautiful affair and my husband and I felt privileged to be their witnesses. I was very nervous because I had been asked to take the photographs, and as a VERY amateur photographer, I didn't want to mess it up. My biggest fear came to pass and  it was a wet day so all the photo's had to be taken indoors with all the lighting problems that comes with artificial lighting and shadows etc. My husband also took some shots in case mine were a disaster, but I when I got home and put them on the computer, I was relieved to find that there are enough reasonable shots for the Bride and Groom to have a pleasant record of the day. Now I just need to edit them and make up a scrapbook for the happy couple.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the wedding card with a Hero Arts Heart Tree cut which I cut in brown and red card. I then just snipped out the red hearts and adhered them over the brown ones.

I used some Craftwork Cards pearlescent paper (this has a lovely sheen that doesn't show up on the photo) for the background and sentiment mats, and Papertrey Ink sentiments. I wanted to use a heart button on the bow but I only had a pale pink one that didn't look right so I used Copic markers to colour it and as I used several coats to get it to the shade I wanted, I ended up with a really nice veined effect which I liked and will use again.

I also made a little tag to attach to the gift with all Papertrey Ink materials.

I'm going to enter the card into the Simon Says challenge which is to use your favourite tool and at present this is my Cameo and guillotine

Well I think I have rambled on for long enough now so I would just like to wish you a very Happy Easter and say thank you for looking in.
Hugs
Carol x

How unusual Carol, I love it and would never have thought of that for a wedding card.
