Papertrey Ink pass driving test card

Hello everyone and a big welcome to Rachael and Sarah who are new followers this week. Well the cold weather continues and the rain has been so heavy that lots of people are on flood alert at the same time as having a hosepipe ban imposed because of drought! Oh the irony of it all. At least the bad weather is encouraging me to stay indoors crafting when I would otherwise be tempted outside so there are some compensations.

The challenge over at Less is More this week is to use paper piecing on a card and this I came up with a flower power bug

I had trouble with the lights because I wanted them to be shiny brake lights instead of clear headlights and I didn't have an appropriate gem. To get round this I punched a circle of pink card and stuck it on the lights before adding a dome of glossy accents. I wasn't sure if the pink would show through the clear dome but it turned out quite well:-

Do pop over and see the great inspiration on the LIM blog and thanks for looking.

Hugs
Carol x

Super card, Carol. Love your paper piecing, and how you created your lights.

If you have Pro Markers and clear gems, you can colour them to match x
