Christmas tree card

Hello everyone, and a very warm welcome to Aida, Jenny, Guylaine and Shirley who are new followers this week. I'm sorry that I have been absent for a while but I have been busy decorating and reorganising my pantry and it took far longer than I anticipated. It had become a dumping ground for all sorts of non food related items, but now all the out of date dry goods and spices have been purged, the space has been painted and new shelves fitted so that I now have no excuse for letting it get into such a dreadful state again. I just need to make labels for all the lovely new glass storage jars lining the shelves, and the job is done.

I have to confess that I did find time to make a card for last week's LIM challenge for a one layer card but the result was so bad I couldn't enter it and it ended up in the bin! I don't know why I find it so hard to do a single layer card, but I have to accept that I do. I was thrilled that Mandie and Chrissie chose to showcase my card for the sketch challenge and I will display their badge with pride, once I can work out how to do it, that is!!!! I am still technically challenged.

The LIM challenge this week is to use tearing on a card and I decided to make another Christmas card to lessen the load as Christmas draws closer

This was a very simple card. I just die cut a PTI tree out of 4 shades of green card and then tore them to bits and reassembled them. Some little red pearls for ornaments and a couple of sentiments finished it off. I did put the tree on foam pads to give a little dimension and matted a thin red layer of card to help it stand out from the cream base but I hope it still counts as CAS?

If you get chance, do go and look at the entries on this challenge - there are some very talented people out there!

Thanks for looking.

Hugs
Carol x

I love your card, I can't do a good tear for toffee so you're one up there on me. Love the traditional colours.
