Wplus 9 Christmas card

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry to have been absent for so long but the busy run up to Christmas has had me chasing my tail and crafting has had to be abandoned.

I'd like to share a few last minute cards made with the lovely stamps that Ann (see previous post) so kindly sent me.

I used a snowflake embossing folder for the background on this one.

along with the Wplus9 die cut tree and stamps

and a Penny Black wreath stamp embellished with a glaze pen. The 2 larger cards used Papertrey Ink sentiments.

Finally, I had an email from a visitor called Beth who liked this previous card

and went looking for the stamps I said I had used for the sentiments. I said I had used Papertrey Ink and the Cat's Meow stamps but I must have had a senior moment (they come very frequently these days) because the stamp on the banner is from PTI but the heart sentiment is from the Love Dwells Here set from The Craft's Meow and can be found here. I'm sorry about that Beth.

I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and thank each and every one of you for visiting my blog and for the lovely comments you leave.

Thanks for looking in.

Hugs

Silhouette Cameo Christmas cards

Hello everyone, and a very warm welcome to Shelly who is a new follower this week. I really appreciate the time that you spend looking at my posts and when you leave a comment or decide to follow the blog, it really makes my day!

Today I had some happy post from Ann at love making things

Thank you so much Ann. I love those gorgeous dresses on the card you made and I will definitely be putting the stamps and dies to good use as I try to get on with my Christmas cards. Ann has such an interesting blog and I recommend that you visit her if you haven't already found it.

I played around with my Silhouette Cameo today and came up with a couple of Christmas cards using a gingerbread man shape.

I cut some gingerbread men shapes out of Kraft card and drew on some features with a white gel pen and added some red bow ties cut on the Cam. Rather than just sticking them onto a card, I decided to cut a panel to go over them so there would be some dimension and they could be peeked at through the negative space

A sentiment, a flourish and some little hearts finished it off. I did ink the panel to take away the starkness of the white.

I made another version using aqua mist card and some little stars instead of the hearts

I'm going to enter this into the current Inspire me Friday challenge- anything goes,
the Through the Craftroom Door challenge - anything goes,
and the Creative Card Crew challenge which is to use a star.

Thank you for stopping by.

New Home card

Hello everyone and a warm welcome to Stacy who is a new follower this week.

We've just returned from a few days away in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, and when we came home, this little package from Avery Elle was waiting for me

This was my gift from them for winning the Cameo Spotlight challenge a few weeks back. I love the way it is tied up with reusable colourful twine, and there is a little stamp attached as another gift. I haven't tried Avery Elle before but the stamps look like beautiful quality and I look forward to getting them inky!

My daughter moved house whilst we were away and we are going to her new home for dinner tonight so I made her a new home card to go with a little house warming gift :-

I used a mix of dies and stamps called Home Sweet Home from Nestabilities and The Cat's Meow, and Stitched Sentiments from Papertrey Ink. I cut out a felt heart in Hawaiian Shores felt and added a little red heart button. I hope she likes it.

I'm going to enter the following challenges for the first time
Creative Card Crew's challenge which is Anything Goes,

Thanks for looking.

Hugs
