Papertrey Ink Wedding Card

Hello everyone and especially to Ella and Connie, who are very welcome new blog friends this week. We had a lovely weekend seeing friends and family but I finally got to do a little crafting yesterday because there are a couple of weddings coming up that I wanted to make cards for. This card is for a couple who are getting married in Montana, USA and sadly, the cost of getting there was too much for our budget at present, so this card will be tucked into the suitcase of a friend who is going. The wedding is taking place on a ranch (home of the bride) and will be a very rustic affair, so I thought I would bring a smile with a card that features wedding bells as they won't be able hear any from the ranch.

This uses the Christmas set Bells and Boughs from Papertrey Ink, and I tumbled the pastel coloured bells down one side, added the sentiment and a tiny tag with a heart cut out, and then matted it onto hibiscus burst card. This panel is raised on pop dots for a little dimension, and I finished it off with a tiny heart and gem and, because you can't, have a wedding card without a little bling somewhere, I dotted a little glitter on the base of the bells.

I wanted to make the envelope a bit special so I lined the envelope and stamped the liner with some coordinating bell stamps.

Job done!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges

One Stop Craft Challenge - use pastel colours
CAS on Sunday - Tag it
Little Claire Challenge - Wedding or Anniversary

Thanks for stopping by

Hugs

oOOHHH This is seriously beautiful! I LOVE the bells envelope liner!

I have a cute bell stamp I am itching to use!! I will rotate this to the front as it is georgeous what you have done!!

Ans thanks so much for your encouragment my NON cards blog!

I had a stressful week and only lost 0.5 lbs for weigh day.
But it is better than nothing or gain! SO it is good. I looked back at some photos of me at my goal weight and it seemed to help. I also took my mind off eating last night by re-arranging our entire bedroom!
When my husband came home (he works very late -so he keeps the light off)
He went to lean against the dresser, he shouted and woke me up - because the dresser was no longer there and he fell into the wall - He didn't get hurt as It was only a foot or so way, he was just startled. He forgot I called him earlier to tell him I did it.. So Funny! I actually started laughing....
So I am keeping busy when I want to just eat!
Thanks for the comment, means the world that someone reads my progress!!! Helps me be accountable!!.

Have a great day Carol!!

Hi Carol, great card, I like the raised panel effect, I keep saying I'm going to try this but always forget (duh!) Great idea for the envelope lining, makes such a difference. I did laugh about the story of your 'muffins' so glad it's not just me it happens to then.....lol

Have a good week

Such a beautiful wedding card. I love the colors and the way you have the bells lined up. Super idea to have the envelope lined, too. Always makes the presentation a little more special.
