Kraft Papertrey Ink Christmas Card

Blog-hop-logo

Hello everyone and a specially warm welcome to Tenia of Jazzy Paper Designs who is recent new follower. Tenia is a talented Jazz pianist who papercrafts in her spare time and has a place on a squillion Design Teams so her blog is always full of great inspiration. Welcome too to Shirley-Anne of Stamping for Joy. Shirley-Anne has been crafting for more that 12 years and is also on a number of Design Teams. I spotted this on one of her recent blog posts and it certainly spoke to me.

I think I need to put this on my fridge door! And last but definitely not least, welcome to Gail  of Crafty Creations, who has been blogging for a little more than a year now and has lots of cute cards to inspire you and has just started on her first Design Team.

Well we're now back from our travels and the scheduled posts seemed to work okay.Thank you for all your good wishes on our 40th Anniversary, and we had a great time celebrating over quite a long period!!! Its back to earth with a bang now and I can't believe how close to Christmas it is with hardly a present bought yet. The Papertrey Ink Blog Hop is going to help my Christmas card stash because this time Nichole says

The theme for this month is snow!  Dig out your favorite snow stamps and snowflake dies.  Create the illusion of snow with glitter or mica flakes.  Make some snow filled shaker elements with beads or sequins.  Whatever you decide, get creative and create your own winter wonderland with your paper crafting supplies!

I came up with this card

I took a kraft card panel and stamped it with an Impression Obsession striped background stamp. When the ink had dried I cut it with a stitched rectangle die, and then stamped lots of snowflakes from PTI Snowfall and Snowflake Serenade, and embossed them with white embossing powder. I die cut the Merry in pure poppy card and stamped the Christmas sentiment underneath. A few red pearls finished it off and I then mounted it onto a Kraft card base.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Silhouette Cameo and Bugaboo gift box

Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge over at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge. This time we are sponsored by

and the challenge is Elf.

I decided to make a gift pillow box on my Silhouette Cameo and stamped and embossed the greeting on the bottom left hand corner. The image I used was the Bugaboo Deacon Elf, and I imported this into my Silhouette Studio software and cut it out before I coloured it with Copic markers.

I added glitter to the hat, bobbles and dots on the present, put some ribbon round the belly of the box,
stuck the elf over the top and called it done!

White on White Silhouette Cameo Christmas card

            Simply Create Too

Hello everyone, and welcome to the last challenge before Christmas over at Simply Create Too. This time Diane has asked us to think Snow, Snow, Snow/Use White, and I came up with this card

I used My Silhouette Cameo to cut the frame, stars and sentiment, and then cut it again so I could snip out some additional  stars and the sentiment with my scissors. I cut a panel and stamped an old Halloween tree on it with Versamark Ink then added some snowy acetate over it before placing the frame on top so the acetate was sandwiched between the two. I then added glitter to the extra shapes and decoupaged them onto the frame to give it a little more dimension. I used a corner rounder on the panel and then added it to the base card with some foam squares to finish it off. I had thought of making it into a shaker card but the frame was quite narrow, so I thought I would leave it plain.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. Why not pop over to the Simply Create Too blog and join in with us this time.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges

City Crafter - one word sentiment.

40th Wedding Anniversary Card

Hello everyone,

I think I mentioned a little while ago that my husband and I would be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary today, and that I would be scheduling a number of posts this month because we are away a lot, and this is one of them. I thought that I would share the card I made for my kind and patient other half and as it is a 40th Anniversary, I had to use a ruby colour, so my favourite Papertrey Ink Scarlet Jewel card and ink came to the rescue!

The cute main image is from a stamp I have had for years, but I can't tell you what it is because a while ago I removed all my wood backed rubber stamps from their bases and then promptly lost the list I made saying what they are! If any of you can help with identifying it, I would be very grateful.
The dies are from My Favorite Things Blueprints 3 set and the other stamps are from Papertrey Ink With all my Heart set. I added some silvery sparkle to the moon, but it doesn't show up well on the picture. It makes me think of the song - "By the light, of the silvery moon, I love to spoon, with my honey ......etc". But that will be showing my age again I suppose!

Short and sweet today but I should get back to normal at the end of next week.

Clearly Besotted Christmas Card for Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge

Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge

Hello everyone, and welcome to another challenge over at Holly Jolly Christmas. This time Meighan is hosting and she has given us a colour challenge

Challenge - Choose from one of these colour combo's
(a) Red, Green, White
(b) Blue, White, Silver
(c) Red, Gold, Cream
(d) Blue, Brown, Cream
(e) Monochromatic
(f) Pink, Green, Kraft, White.

I chose to use the last colour scheme, Pink, Green, Kraft, and White, and came up with this card using the new Clearly Besotted 'Joy to the World ' stamp set.

I stamped the base wreath in green on a kraft panel and then over-stamped with the berry wreath in Versamark ink and added white embossing powder. Next I die cut and stamped the bow before adding glitter with a Wink of Stella brush pen, and attached it to the panel with foam tape.

The sentiment came from the CB 'Most Wonderful' set and I stamped and embossed it in white before adding a little pink heart. At this point it looked as though it needed something else so I added the 'joy' sentiment to the centre of the wreath and added a mat of white card to the panel before mounting it to the base card with foam tape to add a little dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and why not join us over at Holly Jolly Christmas this time.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges

Christmas Cards All Year Round - no patterned paper

Stamplorations - stamps and layers

Clearly Besotted Thank You Card

Simply Create Too

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge over at Simply Create Too. This time the challenge is give thanks / thank you, and I came up with this card

The pretty flower is from the Clearly Besotted October release stamp and die set called Celebrating You and I love this little bunch of flowers that are ideal for saying 'thank you'. I die cut the flowers first and then stamped the image which was very easy to position. I used Copic markers R22, R24 and R32 to colour the flowers and then stamped the centres in a yellowy green colour. The coloured panel is Papertrey Ink Melon Berry card and I cut the panel with a die from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 14 set. The sentiment is also from PTI and I stamped and embossed it in white before adding the flowers mounted on foam tape. After layering up the card, I felt it needed something more so I cut and stamped a bow from the PTI Bells and Boughs stamp set and put domes of glossy accents on the flower centres and sprinkled them with glitter before it dried, to add a little bling.

They remind me of Jelly Tots - I wonder if they still make those?

I hope you will pop over to the Simply Create Too Blog and see the inspiration from my fellow Team Mates. Why not join in with us and make a Thanksgiving card or get a thank you card ready for the post Christmas pile.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges

Dies R Us - thankful
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend.

Lawn Fawn Get Well Card

Hello everyone, its the beginning of another week and and I'd like to start by welcoming a couple of new fellow crafters aboard. First up is Rachel of Inky Fingers are Me, and I obviously share her problem with the coloured digits - well stamping can be messy work! Rachel is a new blogger and is busy trying to set up her craft room, but pop over to see the lovely butterfly card she has on her blog at the moment - so pretty! Our other new friend is Neva of N-Eva. Neva is a fellow Teamie over at Holly Jolly Christmas, but is also on a number of other Design Teams too. Her work is so arty and detailed and she can do wonderful things with dies, so you'll get lots of inspiration when you pop to see her.

I had need of a get well card this week and decided to break out my NBUS Lawn Fawn Get Well Soon Stamps to make a CAS card. Lawn Fawn make such cute little images and I had fun playing around with these.

I stamped and embossed the three images and then coloured them with Promarkers. This set has fun tiny images so I added the red cross and smiley face onto the plaster. I glazed the tablet bottle with a glaze pen to make it look a little more like glass, and also added some to the heart and nurse bird's beak.

I mounted the image onto some red card and used one of the LF Stitched Scalloped Border dies to finish the image off. I finally stamped the sentiment and then ran the panel through my Ebosser with the Papertrey Ink Canvas Impression plate to add some texture, before mounting the image with some foam dots to add a little dimension.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges

Cards and more Challenge - get well

I Love Promarkers challenge - three of a kind (3 images and 3 words)

PS I'm going to be scheduling lots of post this month because my husband and I will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary on the 16th. Yes 40 years and never a cross word! Ooops my nose just shot out to the far wall, so sorry if you believed that.  We are spoiling ourselves by having 2 little holidays and a family party so crafting time will be scarce.
