My Favorite Things and Paper Smooches new baby card

Hello everyone,

I've been collecting and using goodies from My Favorite Things for ages but I've never actually joined in with any of their challenges. In order to rectify that, I decided to play along with the current colour challenge, using these colours

I think I mentioned that I'm needing lots of new baby cards at the moment so I thought these soft colours would make a nice one :-

I started by die cutting a stitched rectangle with a die from MFT Blueprints 24 and I stamped it with the Cheesecloth background stamp. I stamped the sentiment before embossing the whole thing with a cute little star E/F from Cuttlebug. Next I die cut the bows in the various colours and also cut a couple of strips of blue paper to anchor the die cut sentiment. I cut the sentiment (from Paper Smooches) twice and stacked it so the bottom colour shows through.

It is a really hot day here today and so I think I will be staying indoors in my cool craft room. That's my excuse anyway!

Thanks for stopping by

Hugs
Carol x

Carol-the first thing I noticed on the card was the background. I LOVE it!! The embossing over the stamping looks fantastic. Until I read the description, I thought you bought the paper with the embossing and then stamped over it!! The colors you used are fantastic. I love the bow design too. Great take on this challenge!!
