Papertrey Ink Color Pop Florals birthday card

Hello everyone and welcome to the Case the Designer Challenge at Happy Little Stampers

Sadly Sue has had to step down from the team for a time but we are lucky enough to have Rahmat join us and she has given us this gorgeous card to CASE this month

I was inspired by the colours, grey, green and pink, the flower and by the layout to come up with my CASE

I decided to pull out the Papertrey Ink Color Pop Florals set designed by Betsy Veldman, and this set includes stencils and coordinating stamps which is a great excuse to get inky. I started by using a panel of card that comes in the set, laying the stencil over it, and using my round inking tool to blend inks for the flower backgrounds.

I used two colours of ink to give some depth to the flowers and this is how it looked when I finished

I coloured the leaves in the same way:-

Once the ink was dry, I went in with the stamps for the leaves and centres of the flowers. Next, I die cut a double stitched circle from the lower right side and stamped and embossed the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers Mix Mash stamp set along with a little bow .

To finish off, I added the sentiment circle, trimmed it to the shape of the panel, and then matted the panel onto the base card with a layer of pink card.

Thanks for the inspiration Rahmat, and if you would like to see some more, just pop over to the Happy Little Stampers blog.  We'd love you to play along with us this month.

Your card is so very beautiful. I was looking at it for a long time on the DT blog to figure out how you did those flowers, and did not guess that they were stencilled. Amazing.
