Paper Smooches A Blessed Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More, where we have a Holiday theme this time.

I recently got some Clarity Stencil Brushes and wanted to try them so I pulled out a stencil from the Papertrey Ink Sunshine and Rainbows kit, and brushed Bright Buttercup ink through it onto some white card. The brushes give a lovely light coating of ink but I kept adding more ink towards the centre to build up the colour. This stencil has the rays radiating out from a heart but that is covered by my image. Once I was happy with the inking, I cut a panel with a stitched rectangle die and matted it onto a black base card.

I took the Holy Family stamp from the Paper Smooches A Blessed Christmas Stamp set, stamped it with Memento Black ink and coloured it with Copic markers. I die cut the image, glued it to some black card and then fussy cut around it.

To finish off, I stamped the sentiment from the Penny Black Wonder Collection and added a die cut star from my stash.

This time the challenge is sponsored by

This is a fantastic card. Love how the sun rays radiate out from your focal point--and the color blending and getting darker as they reach the center looks wonderful.

WOW!! You did a fabulous job with that stencil. I love how you used the darker colors in the middle and lightened it out at the end. The coloring on that image is just spectacular. Wonderful design Carol!!
