Papertrey Ink Joy Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to the first Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge of the year. As I mentioned in my Top 10 Christmas Cards  post, I didn't have enough Christmas cards in my stash for 2016, so I am determined to try and make multiples of each card I make this year so my pile grows faster.

This year our Christmas Challenge is going to be Anything Goes with an optional twist, so you can enter any Christmas project but if you need a little inspiration, like I usually do, you can play along with the monthly twist. To start us off we have a twist of Joy this month - very apt for the start of a New Year. Another bit of joy is that you could win a discount at the HLS store!

I came up with this card

1 Take a piece of card and stamp one of the Papertrey Ink Christmas Shine stamps with Versafine ink and add silver detail embossing powder.

2 Turn the stamp upside down and repeat step one to create a circular burst, and then emboss with a heat gun.

3 Cut the panel out with a stitched rectangle die.

4 Cut the Papertrey Ink 'Joy' word out 3 times and stack together to give more substance, and adhere it over the centre of the burst.

5 Stamp the Clearly Besotted 'to the world ' stamp in scarlet jewel ink towards the bottom of the panel.

6 Mount everything up using fun foam and add a little heart to the centre of the joy word to finish it off.

I'm feeling quite pleased with myself because I made FOUR copies of the card so my pile is off to a good start!

Why not pop over to the Happy Little Stampers Blog to see some fabulous inspiration from the team, and join in with us this month.

I'd like to play along with

Love, Love, Love this wonderful CAS card. The red die cut (love that little heart in the middle) on the embossed starburst is so effective. Love the red finish to the sentiment on the bottom. The stitched frame is the perfect touch.

I'm agreeing with Miss Darnell, it's a truly brilliant and CAS design. CAS but lots of pizzazz with the star spray of embossing behind that bold sentiment. This looks like a super design to make multiples to grow your stash, and it's just beautiful. The jewel tone of the sentiment looks wonderful against the crisp white of the background, good work! TFS &Happy New Year.
