Crafty Individuals and Clearly Besotted Holly Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to the February Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers. All our Christmas Challenges this year are Anything Goes but you also have the option to use our twist, and this time that is Holly!

You have a month to play along with us and one lucky winner will receive a $15 discount to the Happy Little Stamper Store.

I came up with this card

1) Put Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn and Spiced Marmalade distress ink onto a mat and spritz with water to get them moving, before smooshing some white card through, lifting it, and then leaving it to dry. Once dry, go in with a damp brush and some yellow and green DI to paint the holly leaves, and use a red ink on the berries.

2) Once it is dry, stamp with black Versafine ink and emboss with clear powder using the Holly Script stamp from Crafty Individuals.

3) Fussy cut the image and mat it onto black and then white card.

4) Die cut some red card with a stitched rectangle die, then stamp and white emboss the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers Mixed Christmas Sentiments. Draw dashed lines around the panel with a white gel pen.

5) Die Cut and stamp some holly sprigs from the Clearly Besotted Little Pudding set, shape them and colour the berries with a red pen.

6) Assemble the card and finish off by coating the holly leaves with  a couple of coats of Spectrum Noir Clear sparkle pen, and add glossy accents to all the berries.

I'm embarrassed to say how many years I've had this stamp in my stash without using it, but I do remember that I bought it on my first visit to a Craft Show so that must be 8 or 9 years ago! It feels really good to use it.

Thanks for stopping by

Hugs

WOW! I really like, with holly leaf off the edge of the central panel. This amended motion in your card. I also love saved background, it looks amazing.
