Penny Black and Happy Little Stampers Christmas wreath card

Hello everyone and welcome to the April Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge. All our Christmas Challenges are Anything Goes with an optional twist you can play along with if you wish. This time our twist is Emboss.

One lucky winner will receive a $15 discount at the Happy Little Stampers Store, so why not play along with us and work on your Christmas pile?

I came up with this card

1) Take a panel of card and stamp and emboss the wreath from the Penny Black 'A wish for peace' transparent stamp set. Also emboss the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers Mixed Christmas Sentiments in red.

2) Dry emboss the panel with the Papertrey Ink Canvas Impression Plate and then colour the leaves with yellow and green alcohol pens. I used my new Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens and I have to say I am very impressed with them so far!

3) Stamp and die cut the holly sprig from the Clearly Besotted Little pudding set, shape the leaves and colour the berries.

4) Stamp and die cut the bow from the Clearly Besotted Hanging Around stamp set.

5) On a separate strip of card, randomly stamp and emboss the other holly image in the Penny Black set to create a border, and colour it.

6) Assemble the card using a thin strip of green and red card to separate the layers, and raise the panel on fun foam. To finish off, coat all the leaves with SN Clear Sparkle Pen and add glossy accents to the berries.

I love all of the elements in this card. That PTI Canvas IP is so wonderful - I haven't used it a while. You've inspired me to pull it out!! Your coloring is gorgeous and all the little details like the bow, the extra die cut holly, side panel and embossed sentiment combine to make this an absolutely wonderful creation! Stephanie DT
