Papertrey Ink and Reverse Confetti it's your day celebration card

Hello everyone and I'm sorry I haven't been around much this week. I lost my voice for a few days (which some in may think is no bad thing!) and then developed a hacking cough that is refusing to budge and as it is particularly bad when I go to bed, sleep has been in short supply. My birthday came in the middle of it all which was a nice distraction, but I haven't been in partying mode so I may have to jump aboard my husband's birthday celebrations next week! Anyway, enough of my woes and welcome to another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More. We have our Photo Inspiration challenge this week and Kylie has given us this lovely butterfly photo to inspire us.

I was inspired by the beautiful butterflies and gorgeous colours to come up with this card.

I used some butterflies from the Papertrey Ink Butterfly Dreams stamp and dies set and coloured them with Copic markers.

The central panel is the stitched hex tag from Reverse Confetti and I just arranged the butterflies so that the hole was covered.

I've had the background stamp for a long time and I think it was from Hero Arts but the label has escaped so I can't be sure.

I do hope you will join us this week, and I look forward to seeing your card in the gallery.

Sue Wilson, Happy Little Stampers and Crafter's Companion Christmas card

Hello everyone,

I'm afraid it's short and sweet today but I wanted to let you know that it's Holiday week over at ATSM

and I came up with this card:-

For the background, I used Crafter's Companion snowflake paper which I tinted with blue ink. The Sue Wilson snowflake border was cut with blue glitter card and the central panel, again from Sue Wilson was cut from blue mirror card. The sentiment is from the Happy Little Stampers Let it Snow stamp set.

Papertrey Ink With All My Heart 1st Anniversary card

Hello everyone, I'm guest designing over at The Joy of SetsChallenge this month, which is a tic tac toe challenge, and Fiona created this grid for us to choose from
septembergrid.png

I opted for the top row, love, heart and numbers to come up with this card

I used the Papertrey Ink With All My Heart stamp and Limitless Layers Heart die set to create the heart.

The 1st bit comes from a very old Hero Arts stamp set called Number 1 which I love, but of course, the number can be changed or even left out to make it suitable for any old anniversary. The sentiment is from a mix of Happy Little Stampers sets and I added glossy accents to a little red heart to finish it off.

Thanks, Fiona, for inviting me to join in this month - I really enjoyed it! You can join in the challenge too if you visit the Joy of Sets tic tac toe challenge blog.

MFT Santa's Elves and Bright Rosa Christmas card

Hello everyone, and welcome to another Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers. How did we get to September so fast!!! Although you can make any Christmas project for our challenge, we do have a fun twist to get your creative juices flowing and this time our theme is 'elf'.

I came up with this card

I used the new elongated hexagon dies from Bright Rosa to create the card shape and just trimmed off the ends to give this shape. The die set includes the inset snowflake die and I really like how it looks with blue paper behind it.

The other elements are from the My Favorite Things Santas Elves set and I coloured the elf with Copic markers.

You will find lots of Christmas inspiration over on the blog and I hope my Teamies and I can tempt you to get on with some Christmas makes now that the year is whooshing by so fast.

Sue Wilson Stained Glass - Poinsettia Christmas card

Hello and welcome to another challenge at ABC Christmas Challenges

Our challenges this time are

S for Sparkle

and

T for Texture

I went for S for Sparkle but the glitter also gives texture so I think this one covers both.

I started by cutting a stitched rectangle from white card before cutting the die from Sue Wilson's Festive Collection Stained Glass - Poinsettia from the centre. I then cut the die again from red card before colouring the leaves and flower centres with Copic markers. I used adhesive film behind the die cut and paper pieced the pieces back in before coating the negative space with blue glitter.

I embossed the red panel with the Creative Expression Falling Snow e/f and die cut a frame using the Sue Wilson Stitched rectangle dies. The sentiment is a Papertrey Ink one and I embossed it with white embossing powder.

If you go to the ABC Christmas Challenges blog you will find lots to inspire you from my talented teammates, and you have until 30th September to link up your entries. I hope to see you in the gallery.
