My Favorite Things Better Together new baby card

Hello everyone and I hope you are all well.

I'm back to tell you about the new challenge just starting over at Addicted to Stamps and More

This time we want to see a card for any occasion, giving you plenty of options to join in this time. I came up with this new baby card.

I started by creating the background with a cloud stencil for the sky and I reversed it at the bottom to give a loose impression of waves for my boat to sit upon.

The sweet image is from My Favorite Things a fairly recent release which I couldn't resist and is called Better Together. I stamped and coloured it with Copic markers before cutting it out on my Scan n Cut. I raised it and placed it on the card before adding some glossy accents to the portholes.

I finished off by adding the sentiment from the Welcome Wagon set from Paper Smooches and layered up the card.

As always, my talented teammates will knock your socks off with their inspiration cards over on the blog, and I hope you will join us this time.

Concord and 9th and Pretty Pink Posh rainbow new baby card

Hello everyone and welcome to a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More.

This time we are looking at cards for any occasion, and I went with a new baby card.

I used a stitched hexagon from Card Making Magic for the background and opened up my new Rainbow Stitches and Strings dies from Concord and 9th. I cut the rainbow from a few scraps of Crafter's Companion papers languishing in my stash and arranged them on the card. I decided to use a CC cloud die and after I cut it, I turned the die over and went around the edge with an embossing tool to give a little depth and dimension.

The sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh was cut three times and stacked, and to finish off, I scattered a sprinkle of stars around everything.

I can't wait to see which occasion you will choose to make a card for. It's an ideal opportunity to see where you have gaps in your card supply!

We are still waiting for the roof to be finished off (there is a shortage of building supplies because of Covid and Brexit) because we are waiting for end ridge tiles to come into stock. They tell us that they will finish everything off in a day once they have the tiles but they have been off-site for more than a week now. At least it has been quiet but it would be good to get the outside cleaned up!

Papertrey Ink and Penny Black new baby card

Hello everyone and welcome to our ever-popular anything goes week over at Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge,

I needed a quick new baby card and came up with this one to welcome baby Hazel.

I ignored my ever-increasing NBUS pile and did a deep dive into my stash. I came up with an old set from Papertrey Ink that has been in my stash since 2008! It isn't a new baby set but is all about birds and is called Birds of a Feather. I used the nest, eggs and just hatched sentiment from this set and added a couple of Penny Black die-cut birds that I cut in white and coloured with ink.

The swirly welcome baby sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Borders set, and the embossed circle is from Sara's Signature Little Angel collection.

You will find lots of inspiration from my talented teammates over on the blog and as anything goes this week, why not join us with whatever tickles your fancy.

I was in need of a new baby card for a friend of my daughter who just had her second child, so I came up with this card

I used the WPlus9 Unforgettable stamp and die set and coloured the balloons and elephant with Copic markers.

I used oxide inks to make the sky background.

I hope you will pop over to the blog to see inspiration from my teammates, and if you decide to join us, you can link up your entry over there too.

Lawn Fawn Plus One and Papertrey Ink Stitched Sentiments new baby card

Hello everyone and welcome to our ever popular anything goes challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

Lots of my daughter's friends have been having babies lately so my stash of baby cards has been raided by her and needs replenishing.

I used the Lawn Fawn Plus one stamp set for the stork (fussy cut), and the leaf spray is from a Papertrey Ink set called Stitched Sentiments. I went over the leaves with a glue pen and added some very fine glitter which sparkles nicely irl, but hasn't been picked up very well by the camera.

A stitched frame and a scattering of some tiny hearts finished it off.

As always, you can find some great inspiration from my talented teammates over on the ATSM blog, and I look forward to seeing your entry in the gallery.

Paper Smooches and Silhouette Cameo new baby card

Hello everyone,

Well I have had the best Christmas present ever!!!! I'm delighted to tell you that my first Grandchild, Alice arrived safely last week and is, of course, just gorgeous. Mum and baby are doing well, and my son is like a dog with two tails. It's been wonderful to see my great big macho son being all tender, protective and mushy with his beautiful baby girl. Of course, I made a card for the occasion and it fits well into the Anything Goes challenge we are about to start over at Addicted to Stamps and More

I CASEd my own card here from 2015 but made it bigger and personalised it.

1) Cut a stork and baby bundle from images in the Silhouette Store using a Silhouette Cameo machine. I cut the stork body in aqua card, the baby bundle in pink, and the beak and legs in white card and coloured them with alcohol ink.

2) Use a white gel pen to add polka dots to the baby bundle and add a little green heart before assembling it and the stork onto a white square panel cut with a pierced square die.

3) Die cut the welcome word from Paper Smooches three times and stack them together

4) Cut a filmstrip on the Cameo and adhere it to the bottom of the panel. Stamp the word Baby from the Paper Smooches Welcome Wagon set just above the filmstrip, and stick the welcome die cut above it so it frames the word.

5) Mat the panel onto some aqua card and raise it onto an 8-inch white base card using fun foam.

6) Die cut the name using alphabet dies. I used an ancient Sizzix Mac'n'Cheese die set but you could also cut the name on the Cameo or use any other dies. Mount the letters onto snippets of card and cut them into little rectangles before arranging them on the filmstrip, raising them with foam tape.

7) Finish off by scattering die cut stars and hearts around the card using the same coloured card.

I know this is a very busy time of year, but I hope you will take a little time for yourself and pop over to the ATSM blog to see the fabulous inspiration from the DT, and join in with us this time.

My husband goes into hospital for his second hip replacement operation next week so I may not be around as much for a few weeks.

Papertrey Ink Out of this World new baby card

Hello everyone,

2011
I'm really enjoying the festivities over at Papertrey Ink, and haven't had my mojo in such good tune for ages. I've reached 2011, when the Boy Basics sets were released. I've made this fun card with the Out of this World set for a young friend who is pregnant and has just been told she is expecting a boy.

1) Paint a planet background with watercolours and speckle some water over it. When it is dry, die cut it with a stitched circle die.

2) Stamp and die cut the rocket and colour it in. Stamp, colour and fussy cut the fire trail.

3) Die cut a stitched rectangle and stamp the 321 sentiment towards the bottom of the panel, and stamp the rest of the sentiment from Hooray in red beneath it.

4) Layer everything up and add a few little stars to finish it off.

Papertrey Ink Birds of a Feather baby card

Hello everyone,

I'm all out off kilter with the years, but I have a card here for the Papertrey Ink celebrations for 2008. I got the Birds of a Feather stamp in 2008 when I first discovered Papertrey Ink. I really didn't use the set enough, so I pulled it out and came up with this new baby card.

2008

1) Cut the PTI Tag Sale: Quilted die with Aqua Mist Striped paper and emboss it with a Crafter's Companion Patchwork Quilt embossing folder.

2) Take a sanding block and sand the paper back to highlight the quilt effect.

3) Stamp the nest, eggs and just hatched stamps from Birds of a Feather onto a small square of white card and ink the edges with aqua mist ink.

4) Cut a stitched square and mat the nest image onto it before raising it onto the quilt tag with foam tape.

5) Place the tag on the base card after stamping the sentiment from Hanging Out, and finish off with a bow made from Aqua Mist twill ribbon.

Papertrey Ink and Crafter's Companion new baby card

Hello everyone, and welcome to the November Case the Designer Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. We are having a little switch around for the November and December challenges, so you can choose from cards designed throughout the year,

I chose to CASE this sweet card by the lovely Kim of Cupcakes, Cards and Kim blog

I have used up all my baby cards over the past few months so I came up with this one to help replenish my stash. I used the same Papertrey Ink Comic Strip Cover Plate as Kim used, but changed up the contents. I double cut the cover plate so I could inlay the inked paper to give some dimension.

The paper, ducks, rattle and dummy are from the Crafter's Companion Little Angel die collection and I die cut and inked them before mounting them onto the panel with foam tape. The die cut 'baby' used the Papertrey Ink Wonderful Words Baby die, and I triple cut it to make it more substantial.

To finish it off, I stamped and embossed the 'welcome little' sentiment from the Avery Elle Storybook stamp set before matting and layering the panel onto the base card, and scattering some die cut stars around.

You can see all the cards you can CASE for the challenge over on the Happy Little Stampers blog.

Papertrey Ink and Avery Elle New Baby Card

Hello everyone and welcome to the October Happy Little Stampers Challenge and this time we have a lovely card from Birgit to CASE

I decided to case the stitched rectangle of patterned paper, the central frame for the image and to use a bird die cut die cut. I needed a baby card  too, so I came up with this card

The background paper is from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy Dots and Stripes pad, and the frames use the Papertrey Ink Mat Stack 1 set. I cut both frames in white and added a copic pen to the edge of the larger one to tone in with the dotty paper. On the smaller, white panel, I inked some couds and stamped the sentiment from the Avery Elle Storybook stamp set.

The stork and baby bundle came from the PTI Bundle of Love stamp set and I embossed them in black, fussy cut them, and then coloured with Copics. To finish off, I added some glaze pen to the baby bundle and scatted a few stars and enamel dots.

How would you CASE Birgit's lovely card? If you want some more inspiration, why not jump over to the HLS Blog to see what goodies the team has to share.

Paper Smooches Welcome Wagon new baby card

Hello everyone and welcome to the August Happy Little Stampers Case The Designer Challenge.

This time the lovely Gloria is our muse and she created this gorgeous card for us to CASE

I decided to CASE the masking and the colours and came up with this card:-

I decided to do a double mask and cut the central star shape from masking paper and placed it on my card before cutting a circle aperture  from some more of the paper and placing it on the card so that the star was in the centre.  I then chose several colours of ink and polka dot stamps from a couple of stamp sets and  went dotty between the two masks. After I removed the masks, I stamped the sentiments before cutting the panel with a stitched rectangle die and then using the PTI Canvas Embossing plate to give some texture.

I die cut two welcomes and stacked them before adhering them to the card, and to finish off I added some star and heart die cuts. I glued the panel flat onto the base card so it will be easy to post. I love seeing how people are inspired by a CASE challenge and I can't wait to see what you come up with. Why not visit the HLS blog  and see what the Team has to show you.

The challenge runs for a month and the winner will receive a $15 gift certificate for the Happy Little Stampers Store.
