Well this week whooshed by before I blinked and I can't believe the weekend is here again! There are lot of friends celebrating things around here and I'd like to share a couple of tags I made for them. I wanted to join in the the current Tag You're It challenge where Tracey provided an inspiration picture of some lovely tags added to teacher gifts. Tracey's tags had fishtail bottoms and were attached to gifts rather than being used as an element on a card, so I came up with a similar idea for wine bottle tags
The first one was for some friends who are celebrating the birth of their first Grandchild and I decided to get them some Champagne to 'wet the baby's head' as is the tradition here. Is this a peculiarly British thing or do other countries celebrate in this way I wonder? Anyway, it was an excuse to break out the PTI bottle tag die and I came up with this tag
I saw the greeting somewhere on Pinterest and typed it on the computer, printed it onto patterned paper, and die cut it with a stitched rectangle die to add to the tag. It may be easier to read it in this photo
I extended the tag by cutting the bottom part again in white card and adhered it from behind, to be the place for my 'celebrate' die cut to go.
The second tag was for a friend who moved house recently and I added it to another bottle of Champagne to take to his housewarming party. This time I wanted a very masculine feel, so I cut the tag from dark gray card and stamped it with a background star stamp using Versamark ink. I used the PTI Uncorked dies and stamps to decorate it.
and finished it off with a few little red starts to add a pop of colour.
I'd also like to play along with
The Male Room challenge - Add a tag
The Mod Squad challenge - I'm tagging you
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
Hugs
