The Greetery Floral Arches birthday card

Hello everyone, and welcome to a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

This time, we look forward to seeing die-cuts and/or stencils in your project, and I used both on my card.

I used The Greetery Floral Arches Stamps and Stencils with inks from Papertrey Ink, and die-cut the resulting image. The central arched shape and sentiment are from the Arched Sentiments set.

I cut the background with a Capsule Basics oval die from white card and inked it up to tone with the leaves. I then embossed it with a very old Cuttlebug 2D embossing folder from my stash, and it was placed on a 5 x 7 basecard.

My talented teammates have some great inspiration over on the blog, and we'd love to see what you can come up with.

I'd like to play along at,

Spellbinder Glimmer Sweet Blooms Border foiled birthday card

Hello again friends. Can you believe that another two weeks have whisked by and it's time for another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More?

This time it's Make Your Mark, so we would like to see some colouring with your medium of choice. I went with Copic markers and had a play with my foiling machine for this card that winged its way to one of my friends.

I foiled the Spellbinders Glimmer Sweet Blooms Border plate with gold foil onto white card and you can see the lovely shine on the foil in this first picture. I then coloured with Copics and fussy cut the shape out to create a border for my card.

I cut the pink card with a pierced square die and embossed it with an old Cuttlebug embossing folder. The flower border was raised on foam and the happy birthday die finished it off.

We're currently having our house re-roofed and ever since they put the scaffolding up last week, it hasn't stopped raining! We foolishly thought the end of May would be good weather for the job lol. On Friday, the heavy winds blew back the tarpaulin they put over the area they had stripped and it was a very strange experience seeing the rain pour down the INSIDE of the bedroom window!! Fingers crossed that the weather clears up so they can work this week.

Sue Wilson Happy Easter cards

Hello everyone and welcome to the holiday challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More

I don't make many Easter cards but I did make a couple this year, and I'd like to share one that I made with just die cuts! Yes - I know. My wonderful stash of stamps was woefully neglected in the making of this card.

1) Take a 7 x 7-inch base card and mat some yellow card onto it.

2) Cut a smaller square of white card and emboss it with a Cuttlebug folder. Sorry, there doesn't seem to be a name on it and I have lost the packaging.

3) Take the Sue Wilson Fillables Collection Happy Easter die set and cut the egg frame in white card and adhere it to the embossed background.

4) Die cut the egg in yellow card and raise it on some fun foam before fitting it into the frame.

5) Die cut the greeting in white card and stick it on the egg.

6) Die cut some eggs and arrange them in the corners, then finish off by die cutting the bow from the set and stick it above the large egg.

You will see a variety of holidays covered by my talented teamies over on the ATSM blog, and we'd love it if you shared a holiday card with us this time.

I'd like to play along with

The Cat's Pajamas Challenge #346 - use your dies

Happy Little Stampers May Die challenge - anything goes with dies

Always Fun Challenge #59 - anything goes

Thanks for stopping by.

PTI / Cuttlebug birthday card

Hello everyone,

I hope you are having a great weekend. I've been having a lazy day today and ignoring all the jobs that have piled up whilst I wasn't looking. I just got some new supplies from Papertrey Ink and of course I had to try some of them out, so here is a 21st birthday card I made for my youngest sons' girlfriend.

I used my new PTI Rickrack Border die to cut the felt strips and some Cuttlebug dies to cut the felt flowers, and then finished it off with a button and some button twine.

The message was done on the computer and then stamped with a Personal Impressions scroll stamp. The background paper is PTI Polka Dot Parade.

I'm entering this card for the current Passion for Papertrey challenge on using dies, so pop onto their site to see some fantastic entries.

Thanks for visiting and, if you have time, I would love to read your comments.
