Papertrey Ink and Crafter's Companion 40th Anniversary card

Hello everyone, and welcome to another challenge over at ATSM

and this time we have the very popular Anything Goes theme. One of my best friends celebrated her Ruby Wedding Anniversary recently and I made this card for her and her Hubby.

1) Cut a square panel of Papertrey Ink Scarlet Jewel card (perfect for a Ruby Anniversary), with a pierced square die,

2) Stamp and white emboss the sentiment from PTI Big Birthday Wishes stamp set.

3) Die cut the numbers from Crafter's Companion Fun with Numbers dies, and before removing the card, ink through using the die as a stencil. Add the numbers between the stamped sentiment and raise them on foam tape.

4) Die cut a scalloped heart and stamp, the heart from PTI With All My Heart in Scarlet Jewel Ink. This is a three-step stamp set, so go back and stamp the roses and then the leaves before adding a little sentiment on the banner.

5) Die cut and stamp two Champagne glasses from the PTI Propose a Toast set and emboss the drink with clear embossing powder.

6) Layer everything up on a CC side stepper card and finish off by stamping the Happy Anniversary from the Clearly Besotted Paired Up stamp set.

Papertrey Ink Valentine or Anniversary card.

Hello everyone and I hope you are enjoying your weekend. If you are here for today's  Christmas Card Challenge, please scroll down to the next post along.

The 25th of the month always brings another Blog Hop from Papertrey Ink and this time 

the theme is hearts.

I came up with a a card for my DH for Valentines day but it could just as easily fit the bill for an anniversary card.

I cut the focal panel out of white card and then fussy cut the mat for it in tropical teal card. I love mixing and matching sentiments from different sets so that they say just what I want and that's what I did here. I started off by stamping the scrolls from Boutique Borders: Birthday in Hawaiian Shores ink and then stamped the Love image from Heart 2 Heart 2. The words underneath came from With All My Heart and Boutique Borders: Love, which were stamped in tropical teal ink, and I then finished with another scroll. I used the Falling Hearts stencil from Simon Says Stamps, and some pure poppy ink to add the tiny hearts over the background along with some larger die cut hearts to add some texture.

All of this was placed on a background of paper from the  Sparkle and Shine Paper collection, and I finished it off with some baker's twine and another little heart.

40th Wedding Anniversary Card

Hello everyone,

I think I mentioned a little while ago that my husband and I would be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary today, and that I would be scheduling a number of posts this month because we are away a lot, and this is one of them. I thought that I would share the card I made for my kind and patient other half and as it is a 40th Anniversary, I had to use a ruby colour, so my favourite Papertrey Ink Scarlet Jewel card and ink came to the rescue!

The cute main image is from a stamp I have had for years, but I can't tell you what it is because a while ago I removed all my wood backed rubber stamps from their bases and then promptly lost the list I made saying what they are! If any of you can help with identifying it, I would be very grateful.

The dies are from My Favorite Things Blueprints 3 set and the other stamps are from Papertrey Ink With all my Heart set. I added some silvery sparkle to the moon, but it doesn't show up well on the picture. It makes me think of the song - "By the light, of the silvery moon, I love to spoon, with my honey ......etc". But that will be showing my age again I suppose!

Short and sweet today but I should get back to normal at the end of next week.

Papertrey Ink 7th birthday

I'm back again with my second card for the Papertrey 7th birthday celebrations. This time the card has a CAS feel to it which I am a bit more comfortable about.

I used tiny leaf stamps from Sending You to make the border, and the Big Birthday wishes stamps again for the sentiments.

This could be for an anniversary or birthday.

Papertrey Ink Valentine

Have you been following the Papertrey Ink 7th Anniversary celebrations? There is a lot going on with challenges and free downloads, so I recommend scooting over there to have a look. Today's challenge was to use an image from this year's free download and make a card. You can enter multiple times (and so many people have!), but I only had time to make one card today, and here it is

I used Heather Nichols' image and cut it down to an irregular shape and made it into a Valentine/Anniversary card.  I added a heard border with the heart border die and a sentiment from Boy Basics Out of this World, before finishing it off with some glossy accents on the hearts. The base card was impressed with the Lil' Inkers stitched rectangle die. I used Scarlet Jewel Ink rather that bright red ans black card because I think it makes it a bit more masculine, and this one is destined for my DH next week.

I am also going to enter this into the Male Room challenge for a masculine Valentine, and at Sue's kind suggestion, I am also entering it into the Stamping Dragon 'love is in the air' challenge.

40th Anniversary Card

Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to Debbie and Alanna who are much appreciated new followers this week.

I was looking at this inspiration photo 

on the Avery Elle challenge blog which says wedding reception to me, and I was reminded of attending a wedding 40 years ago because the friends who got married are about to celebrate their Ruby Wedding Anniversary. We will be joining in their celebrations in a couple of weeks and I wanted to make a special card for them, so I decided to CASE one of my own cards from 2011

This time I used Papertrey Ink Scarlet Jewel colours which fitted the Ruby Wedding theme perfectly. I used PTI Limitless Layers Heart dies to put a heart inside the card and embossed the sentiment in white using Avery Elle Count On It stamps

I then die cut another heart and stamped it with stamps from PTI With all my Heart, embossing the background stamp with clear embossing powder to give some shine

When the card is closed, the two hearts rest together to give a lovely layered effect. I put an eyelet into the smaller heart and attached some thread so I could dangle it from the sop of the aperture and used a ribbon punch to cut slots so I could tie some ribbon and hide the hole at the top.

A sentiment finished it off.

I am also going to enter this into the current Lexi's Creations challenge to use die cuts and punches, and the Simon Says Stamps challenge which is to use rain or flowers on a project.
