Lisa Horton Layered Anemone and Curvy Rectangles get well card

Hello everyone, and welcome to the year's first challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

This time we are happy to see cards for any occasion and I came up with this one using some new dies from Lisa Horton:-

I die-cut the Lisa Horton Curvy Rectangle dies and made a base card with the largest one. For the centre panel, I took the diamond die in the set but embossed it rather than cut it to add some background texture.

I die-cut the pretty anemone flower and a PTI butterfly and arranged them on the card.
A sentiment from Papertrey Ink, finished it off.

My talented Design Teamies are back and raring to go after the Christmas break, so you will find lots of inspiration on the ATSM blog. We are sorry to say goodbye to Izzy who will not be joining us this year. I'll miss seeing your gorgeous inspiration for the challenges, Izzy and wish you good luck with your future endeavours.

Lisa Horton and Spellbinders Get Well card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and more.

Thank you for your kind wishes after my tummy bug. I'm happy to report that all is well again, and I even enjoyed some chocolate over the Easter holiday weekend. We have just had our first real taste of spring with a couple of warmish sunny days and lots of flowers are blooming - even the lily of the valley have sent up their shoots and I anticipate they will be sharing their lovely fragrance in a couple of weeks.

Our theme this time is Die Cuts and Stencils so I made a get-well card.

I used the Lisa Horton pocket dies and Spellbinders Be Bold bloom dies, a sentiment from my stash and finished off with a little PTI butterfly.

My Teamies have some great inspiration cards for you over on the ATSM blog and we'd love to have you join us this time.

Spellbinders Layered Tulips get well soon card

Hello everyone!
I hope you are well and enjoying the summer weather. I don't know why this part of the year is so busy when it should be time for relaxing a bit and taking time to smell the flowers. My family obviously didn't receive that memo so things have been very hectic with them over the past few weeks. I'm hoping things will settle down once the schools break up.

It's time for another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More and this time we are looking for die cuts and/or stencils.

I went with die cuts and came up with this card

Yellow tulips are a great favourite of mine and I'm so pleased that I can get them in the shops up to June now when they used to be very time limited to spring.

I used the Spellbinders die set called Layered Tulips and simply cut them out, layered them up and arranged them on the card. I made it a get-well card because a cheery yellow tulip always lifts my spirits. I chose a DL size card so I didn't have to trim the flowers down.

As always, you'll find tons of inspiration from my talented teammates on the ATSM blog and I hope you will be inspired to join us this time.

Penny Black Hugs and Simon Says Stamp Framed Friendship get well card.

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More.

This time we are making marks on our cards with items such as paint, markers, inks etc and I came up with this card

I used my NBUS Penny Black Hugs Edger dies and the image is from an older stamp set which was a collaboration between Simon Says Stamp and Altenew, called Framed Friendship. I used Zig Clean Colour Markers to watercolour the flowers and shade the hugs die cut. I really like that the die set includes the edger die to give some shape to the panel and you can then nestle the hugs die cut up against it. I stacked a few of these die cuts to give some dimension and only coloured the top one.

I inked the base card with some coordinating ink and stamped the Sending sentiment on it before adding the shaped panel. All the sentiment stamps were pulled from different stamp sets to link up the message, and I finished off by splattering some ink droplets onto the panel. I really like this Hugs die because it can be used with or without the edger die and I know that Penny Black has some new words being released this month too.

As always, my talented Design Teamies have some great inspiration for you over on the ATSM Blog and you can link up your entry over there too.

Craft Concept Butterfly Kisses embossed get well card

Hi there and welcome to the new Simply Create Too Challenge.

Our challenge for this month is to use wet and/or dry embossing and I used both on this card.

I used a very old embossing folder from Craft Concepts called Butterfly Kisses and I inked up one side with a couple of blue inks using a brayer, before adding some white card and passing it through the machine. This isn't a 3D embossing folder so you don't get such a deep emboss, but I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

I cut a couple of thin strips of navy card to frame the image and added a half banner from an MFT Blueprints set, on which I stamped and embossed the sentiment in white.

If you're like me, I bet you have several embossing folders tucked away that are calling to be pulled out and used, so why not join in with us this time?

Altenew Delicate Flower Bed get well card

Hello everyone and I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

I'm here to herald the start of a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More. I'm sad to say that this will be my last post for ATSM for a while as our lovely leader, Kylie will be taking a much-deserved break from challenge blogs from the end of June. I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Kylie for the immense amount of work she has done for the craft blogging community and I'm going to miss her presence over the coming months.

I realise too, that I'm going to miss this particular challenge very much. The fact that we have 4 different challenges in rotation means that I get to stretch a different craft muscle each time and I think I will keep that challenge in my head whenever I make cards now.

Anyway, I came up with this card

I used my NBUS Altenew Delicate Flower Bed background stamp and coloured it in with Altenew alcohol markers.

The top panel was cut using one of the MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edges dies and the simple sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Think Big Favorites #22.

I've needed several get well cards recently and I managed to replenish my supply by making 3 of these from the stamped background I made.

It would be great if you could visit my pals over on the ATSM blog and leave them some goodbye love!

I'd like to play along at

Thanks for stopping by and stay safe

My Favorite Things Rainbow of Happiness encouragement card

Hello everyone and I hope you and your family are all doing well during this very strange time. I'm happy to report that we are fine and adjusting to the new shape of our day. Because we cannot just pop out to a shop at present, I have been very sure not to waste any food so I have been cooking and baking more than I would normally. Now I seldom bake these days so my skills are very rusty, but we had some carrots that needed using up and I decided to make a carrot cake. Everything went well until it came to making the cream cheese frosting. That frosting just wouldn't thicken even after being left for several hours in the fridge, so I had to go for it and pour it over the cake. The icing ran off the cake, down the sides and all over my worktop but my hubby wouldn't let me throw it away. He scraped it all up, put it in a jug, poured it like cream over his slice of cake and declared it to be the best carrot cake ever. I knew there was a reason I love that man!

We are starting a new challenge over at ATSM today and this time we have our Clean and Simple challenge for you.

On my daily walk, I have been so cheered by all the rainbow pictures that children have been putting in their windows, that I decided to use the theme for my card.

I used a rainbow die from My Favorite Things and cut the die using several colours of card so I could make 6 rainbows with the colours in a different order.
The sentiment is from the MFT Rainbow of Happiness stamp set and the clouds (which I glittered) came from a Sara's Signature set by Crafter's Companion.

I made several of these cards and plan to send them out to friends who need cheering up during our lockdown.

You'll find lots of inspiration over on the ATSM blog, and it would be great if you could join us this time.

Altenew Build a Flower: Peruvian Lily get well card

Hello everyone and welcome to the next challenge over at Simply Create Too, and this time we don't have a twist for you so you can go bananas with anything you like!

No photo description available.

I came up with this CAS design card

I was lucky enough to get the Altenew Build a Flower: Peruvian Lily stamp and ink set when a friend of mine visited the US. I know this flower as alstroemeria and we have it growing in our garden. It's a great flower for picking because it lasts for ages in a vase and the colours are just beautiful. The best bit is that the more you pick them, the more you seem to get!

I used the accompanying inks and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

As usual, the Design Team have some great inspiration over on the blog, and if you decide to play along with us this time, you can link up your entry there.

Picket Fence Studio Part of the Pack watercolour get well card

Hello everyone and I hope you have a good Halloween celebration. We've had a succession of witches and wizards at our door and some tiny little cuties in gorgeous costumes in spite of the very cold weather.

I'm actually here to announce the start of the November Watercolour Challenge at Happy Little Stampers, and this time our optional twist is Get Well.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER, YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

I stamped this cute image from Picket Fence Studios called Part of the Pack and coloured the dogs with my Ziggies and Arteza watercolour brush pens. It is heading to a dog-loving friend of mine who isn't so well at present and I hope it will bring a smile. The big dog on the back row is just like her golden-haired cutie.

When the ink was dry, I painted in the sky and grass. I didn't have a suitable sentiment so I turned to the computer to write one, and fixed it to a black banner die cut.

We have some lovely cards for you to see over on the HLS Blog, and if you decide to join us this time, you can link up your card in the gallery.

I'd like to play along at

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - anything goes

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - we could all use some humour

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - humour

Aud Sentiments Challenge #215 - use a funny sentiment

Altenew Graduated Sunset and Papertrey Ink Comfort Food get well card

Hello and welcome. We are starting another challenge over at Addicted To Stamps and More, and this time we have a photo inspiration board for you.

I took inspiration from the colours that really appeal to me, and from the bowl and spoon in the lower left-hand frame.

I've been trying to build my stash of get well cards and the bowl reminded me that my Mum always served tomato soup in a lovely bowl when I was poorly as a child, so I thought the images from the PTI Comfort Food stamp set fit the bill nicely.

I set the images on a circle image from my new Altenew Graduated Sunset stamp set. The large sentiment is from the PTI Think Big Favorites #14 set

I always love to see how other people interpret a photo, and you can get lots of inspiration from the team over on the ATSM blog. I hope you can join in with us this time.

Clarity Napa Valley stamp unisex get well card

Hello and welcome back to another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More, and this time we invite you to make your mark in some way. Your entry can use anything that can make a mark such as alcohol pens, colouring pencils, watercolours, chalks, markers etc, so pull out your favourite medium and have some fun with us.

I pulled out my Polychromo pencils for this card.

1) Stamp the Clarity Stamps Napa Valley stamp in black ink, die cut it with a stitched circle die, then colour the image with Polychromo pencils.

2) Use the accompanying circle stencil from Clarty and stencil green ink onto some white card.

3) Die cut the card with a stitched square die and mat it onto some black card before placing it on the base card.

4) Raise the image on some fun foam and add it to the stencilled circle,

5) Die cut a white banner and stamp the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers Rainy Days stamp set. Mat it onto black card and fussy cut around it before adhering it to the card.

I've been trying to replenish my get well card stash recently and this is a good one to have on hand because I think it will cover either sex. As usual, you will find some great inspiration from my talented teammates over on the ATSM blog. Have fun and I look forward to seeing your entries.

Art Impressions and Christina Griffiths hexagon flowerpot get well card

Hello there and I hope you have enjoyed this bright, sunny day. At least I hope it has been sunny where you are! I'm here to share another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More, and this time we have a photo to inspire you.

Sadly, I don't have any succulents stamps, so I went with flowers for my pot, and I loved stamping each little flower separately.

1) Die cut a medium stitched hexagon from the Fancy Nesting Hexagons by Christina Griffiths in white card. Then cut the largest die in green card and run it through again with the scroll pattern cut in die.

2) Stamp the pot from the Art Impressions Watercolour stamp set and then stamp it again on a post-it note and cut it out to use as a mask.

3) Colour the pot with Zig Clear Colour Brush pens and then mask it off while you stamp the flowers and foliage. I used a variety of leaves and flowers and stamped them using my Ziggies directly to the stamps until I had a pot of flowers that pleased me, and I then removed the mask.

4) Place the green hexagon on the base card and raise the flower panel onto it using fun foam.

5) Finish off by embossing the greeting from PTI Fillable Frames #10 in white EP, and cut it into a half banner shape.

Those Art Impressions stamps have been languishing in my stash for far too long, and I really enjoyed using them so you may see them pop up again soon.

There's lots of inspiration over on the ATSM blog, and I can't wait to see how you will be inspired by the photo.

I'd love to play at

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - All things bright and beautiful.

Penny Black and More June Challenge  - in the garden.

As You Like It challenge - Flora or Fauna and why. I chose flora because I had not used these stamps for ages and rediscovered how much fun they are to stamp.

Thanks for stopping by.

Crafter's Companion Accordion Get Well Card

Hello everyone and welcome to the first challenge of the year over at Addicted to Stamps and More. Last year the ATSM challenge went from strength to strength and we had so many wonderful entries it was always hard to choose the winners, so I hope you will feel inspired to join in with us again. The first challenge is a Photo Challenge and we have this lovely photo to get the mojo humming.

I took inspiration from the daisy and from the colours to come up with my first ever accordion card using my new dies:-

1 Cut 2 square accordion card bases from white card (I used a Crafter's Companion Die).

2 Cut 2 star square accordion overlays in white and adhere them to the bases (I used a CC star overlay die)

3 Cut off one of the extra joining tabs and score all score lines well with a bone folder.

4 Stamp and emboss the Creative Expressions Daisy Heart stamp on white card, colour with alcohol markers and use a glaze pen on the centres of the daisies.

5 Stamp the sentiment in the upper part of the heart with the Penny Black stamp from the Hugs Transparent stamp set with black Versafine ink. Cut the stamped card down so it fits onto the accordion base and adhere it down.

6 Stamp the greeting from Papertrey Ink Tucked in: Get Well on white card and then cut it out with a My Favorite Things Diagonal Stitched Square die. Draw round the edge of the base square with a pink alcohol pen and adhere the sentiment to the centre.

7 Finish the card by sticking both halves of the card together and attach the centre panels to each other by gluing them at the tab.

Well there were quite a few steps here and it took a while to work out how the accordion card fits together, but I quite like how it turned out. One problem I found was that the back of the base cards were marked and indented by my well used die cutting plate, so the back of the card looked rather unattractive. I didn't want to double cut and fit a false back onto the card, so I used a couple of sheets of copier paper between the card and the cutting plate and that provided enough protection to keep the card smooth.

If you would like some more inspiration, why not hop over to the ATSM blog to see what the Team has to show you, and once your card is complete you can link it up over there.

I'd like to play along with
