Concord and 9th and Pretty Pink Posh rainbow new baby card

Hello everyone and welcome to a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More.

This time we are looking at cards for any occasion, and I went with a new baby card.

I used a stitched hexagon from Card Making Magic for the background and opened up my new Rainbow Stitches and Strings dies from Concord and 9th. I cut the rainbow from a few scraps of Crafter's Companion papers languishing in my stash and arranged them on the card. I decided to use a CC cloud die and after I cut it, I turned the die over and went around the edge with an embossing tool to give a little depth and dimension.

The sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh was cut three times and stacked, and to finish off, I scattered a sprinkle of stars around everything.

I can't wait to see which occasion you will choose to make a card for. It's an ideal opportunity to see where you have gaps in your card supply!

We are still waiting for the roof to be finished off (there is a shortage of building supplies because of Covid and Brexit) because we are waiting for end ridge tiles to come into stock. They tell us that they will finish everything off in a day once they have the tiles but they have been off-site for more than a week now. At least it has been quiet but it would be good to get the outside cleaned up!

Pretty Pink Posh Celebrate Shaker card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge over at Simply Create Too.

Simply Create Too Challenge Blog

This time we are looking for a shaker card of any type you like. I came up with a celebration shaker card that can be used for any celebration.

I used distress oxide inks to make the background and blended them together with blending brushes before flicking on some water to add some spotty detail.

The shaker element was cut with a Pretty Pink Posh die which I cut 5 times. I snipped out the sentiment from four the cuts and stacked the frames together. I backed the sentiment cut with some foiled acetate from my stash and glued it on top of the stack. I then filled the shaker with some glitter and sequins and backed it with some more of the ink blended card. The black and white sentiment was from clearly besotted. I liked the composition of the card but it was lacking something until I had the idea of echoing the shaker scallop shape by using an MFT stitched scallop rectangle die to finish off the background panel. Much happier with it then!
