My Favorite Things Elf Christmas card and Kristiner Werner Easy Repeat Holly Background Christmas card

Penny Black Floral Vines Birthday card
I began by cutting a rectangular aperture from card to use as a stencil for inking the lilac background. I next added some stamping using Kristina Werner Splatter stamps. The flowers (from Penny Black Floral Vines Frames) were stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with watercolours before being die cut. The sentiment was in my bits box, and I coloured it with green ink and then added some sparkle pen. To finish off, I added the frame, which was cut using my neglected Waffle Flower Lacy Layers dies.

John Next Door Christmas card
Hello everyone and welcome to the new challenge at ABC Christmas Challenges.
I am hosting this time and I have a prize for the randomly selected winner.
Our themes this time are
U for Unusual Colours
and/or
V for Velvet
I came up with these
U for unusual colours
V for Velvet
For my velvet card I found some paper in my stash with a lovely wooded snow scene that I thought looked velvety and I just sponged on some blue and purple ink to emphasise the snow line. The deer is from Penny Black and I cut it in white before inking with beige/ brown inks and added some dots with a pen. The sentiment is also from a Penny Black stamp set.
I'd like to play along with
NBUS Challenge #67 - NBUS John Next Door dies
Christmas Kickstart Challenge #91 - colour palette - I used the blues and beige
Sparkles Christmas Challenge # 165 - use the word Christmas
Christmas with the Cuties #85 - feature a critter

Gift box from The Greetery and John Next Door Penny's Baubles card
Happy New Year!!!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and if you were lucky enough to receive some new crafty goods, I hope you are having fun playing with them.
I know that we have only just finished with Christmas, but we at ABC Christmas Challenges love to make Christmas cards all through the year knowing that we won't have a last-minute panic come December. It would be great if you want to join us this year - we work our way through the alphabet over the year and each month we have some fun challenges to get your juices flowing. And did I mention that we also have a prize each month??? What's not to like as they say lol!
Our first challenge themes are
Helen is our lovely host this month and she has a great prize for the winner.
A for Anything Christmas Goes
This is a gift box I made with a die from The Greetery called Stationery Box. I used yellow and grey card for the box and decorated it with stamps from the Winter Birds set from My Favorite Things. I used coloured pencils for the colouring and want to practice more with them this year so any tips will be welcome.
The candy-stripe circle sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I added little magnets to the box to keep it closed, and it contained a necklace I had bought as a gift for my daughter. I love making a gift box like this because it is very versatile and doesn't need to be wrapped. I hope to use the box dies again to make some notelet gift sets.
