Nellie Snellen Christmas Corner and Crafter's Companion Christmas card

Hello there, and I hope you are enjoying the sunshine wherever you are. I'm back with my last DT contribution at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge. It's been great to be part of this challenge from the beginning, but life is catching up with me just lately and other things have to take priority for a while. I'll miss working with the HLS Team who are a lovely bunch of people, and the team leader, Kylie is the best!

The optional twist this time is 'tinsel' and I came up with this card

I used a landscape slimline card and layered it up with some sparkly mirror card.

The stamp is a layered stamp called Christmas Corner by Nellie Snellen and I stamped it twice and added some glitter and glossy accents to the berries before fussy cutting each one for opposite corners.

The sentiment is from Crafter's Companion and I stamped it in red ink and then with Versamark before adding clear embossing powder. You can see the shine more in this photo.

As always, you'll find lots more inspiration from my very talented Teamies over on the HLS Christmas blog and you can link up your entry there too.

Papertrey Ink and Pinkfresh Studio MistletoeChristmas card

Hello everyone and I hope you had a good Bank Holiday weekend. Welcome to the May Christmas Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers

where we have an optional theme of mistletoe.

I used an old Papertrey Ink stamp called Merry Kiss-mas which I stamped and die cut a couple of times before adding white Nuvo Drops for the berries. I arranged the boughs on a Pinkfresh Studio Braided Tag die and put some red paper behind. The red sentiment was embossed and the green part just stamped.

There are lots of inspiring samples over on the HLS blog and it would be great to see your card in the gallery if you decide to join with us.

Lily of the Valley and MFT Angel Christmas card

Hello and welcome to our new Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.

I went with the optional Angel theme and came up with this card.

I stamped the cute Lily of the Valley Nativity Play stamp onto one of the MFT Stitched Arch Stax dies and coloured it very simply before adding some silver glitter to the angel's wings and halo.

The image was then placed onto an inked circle die cut and I stamped the sentiment underneath before adding it to the background layer.

Over on the Happy Little Stampers blog, you will find inspiration from my talented Teamies, and you can link up your entry over there too if you decide to play along with us.

Penny Black Bountiful Berries and Simon Says Stamp Christmas card

Hello friends and welcome to another Christmas challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.

As always, we are are an anything goes Christmas challenge but each month we invite you to have some fun with our optional twist and this time that is 'berries'.

I came up with this card

I used my new Penny Black Bountiful Berries die and cut it from watercolour paper. I then coloured the branch and berries with Zig Clean Colour Brush Pens, and when it was dry, I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the berries to add some shine.

The background panel is cut from white card with a My Favourite Things Blueprints 33 die. I blended various blue Distress Oxide inks onto it and added the white sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

The team has a lot to show you over on the blog and it would be great if you decide to join us.

Lily of the Valley Bunnies in Stocking Christmas card

Yay!! Happy Little Stampers is back after a 6-month hiaitus and we're raring to go with our first Christmas Challenge of the year. Any Christmas card can be entered, but we have a fun twist each month that we invite you to try and this time it is 'stockings'

I pulled out an old Lily of the Valley stamp that I think was aptly called 'Bunnies in Stocking' for this card and I simply stamped and coloured it with Copic markers.

I framed the image with a stitched impression using the PTI Shape Shifter Oval die and then cut the panel out with a rounded rectangle from one of the MFT Blueprints sets. I liberally coated the image with Wink of Stellar glitter but although it is very pretty IRL, I couldn't capture it on camera.

If you head on over to the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge blog, you will be able to see lots of inspiration from the team and you can link up your entry there too.

I know that there is a temptation to put away everything Christmas at this time of year, but if you want to get ahead of the 2021 Christmas rush, making a few cards a month is a painless way to do it!

MFT Fireplace Christmas card with stockings,

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.

Our lovely Kylie has been running challenge blogs for 8 years now and is in need of a well-earned break, so this will be the last HLS challenge for a while whilst she recharges her batteries. I'd like to thank Kylie for all the work she puts in behind the scenes to keep so many challenges going and I'd like to say 'put your feet up girl', but knowing her, I'm sure that will be impossible lol!

I decked my Christmas Halls by lighting a fire and hanging stockings using the My Favourite Things Fireplace die set. I used a brick stencil on the fire surround and added some sparkle to the flames.

The foliage is from another MFT set and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

It would be great if you could visit my Teamies over on the HLS blog and leave them some kindness before they take a rest.

Altenew Peace on Earth Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.

You can enter any Christmas project but why not play along with our fun twist, which this time is Ornaments.

I came up with this card

I used the Altenew Peace on Earth stamp and die set for this card. I started by smooshing a few colours of blue oxide ink and when it was dry, I stamped the earth ornament and embossed it with white e/p before die cutting it.

The sentiments come from the same set and I stencilled some dots on the panel with a Simon Says Stamp stencil. I inked the edge of the background mat with the same ink as the sentiment so it would match.

As I have so much time at home at the moment, I'm trying to get motivated to get all my Christmas cards made early, but I have to say I'm just not feeling it! I am feeling pleased that I have this one to add to the pile though - do feel free to join us.

Thanks for stopping by and stay safe.

Clearly Besotted Joy to the World Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge over at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge

I decided to leave the optional twist this time and came up with this card.

I used the Clearly Besotted Joy to the world stamp and die set for the wreath and bow. I cut the wreath 3 times and stacked them to help them stand out a bit more on the card. I used a PTI canvas impression plate on the stitched panel, and the sentiment is from the CB Most Wonderful stamp set.

I hope you are all staying well and finding lots to do if you are confined to the house. I'm hesitant to say it but I am quite enjoying staying home so far. I wonder how I'll feel after 12 weeks though!!!!

You'll find lots of inspiration over on the HLS Blog and it would be great if could join us this time.

Papertrey Ink Uncorked Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to another Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers

This time our optional theme is beverage so I pulled out an old Papertrey Ink stamp and die set called Uncorked.

I just couldn't get a good photo of this card today but the wine bottle looks less mottled in real life. Hey ho, sometimes the weather just doesn't play ball!

I wonder which beverage you will choose if you play along this time? Why not pop over to the HLS Blog to see what my Teamies came up with?

Penny Black Dainty Doves and WPlus9 Pretty Patches Christmas card

Hello friends and welcome to the February Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenges. Yay for getting to February and being another month closer to spring. I don't know about you but I always struggle in Jan/Feb and then always perk up come March when the flowers and leaves start appearing in earnest. We do have some snowdrops peeping through and shoots of daffodils are appearing so I know mother nature is busy getting everything ready. Anyhoo, back to our challenge - any Christmas card will be welcomed but why not have more fun by playing with our twist this month which is Xmas Wings?

I used my NBUS Penny Black Dainty Doves for this card and kept my resolve to try more postage friendly designs by keeping it fairly flat.

I also used the Reverse Confetti Stitched Hexagonal Tag die and placed the dove over the hole so it looks more like a panel than a tag. Well, you've got to get as much flexibility from your stash as you can, haven't you?

The sentiment is from an old WPlus9 stamp set called Pretty Patches: Tree and I think it goes well with a dove of peace image. I found the scattering of hearts in my leftovers and thought they added a good finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Altenew Plentiful Pine Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to the first Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge of the year. If you are joining us for the first time, we are an anything goes as long as it's Christmas challenge, but each month we have a fun twist that you can use to give yourself some inspiration or step outside of your comfort zone. Our first optional twist is 'trim the tree' and I cheated a bit because I don't think these lovely layered trees need any trimming so I left them completely bare!

This design is particularly useful for mass production and is fairly flat for cheaper posting. I don't know about you but I was completely shocked at the total I paid for postage last year and I must be more mindful when I make cards throughout 2020. Such a shame because I love lots of dimension on cards!

As one of my crafty resolutions is to practice more with layered stamps, I used the Altenew Plentiful Pine stamp set for the trees, and the sentiment is from an old Papertrey Ink set called Trimming the Tree. I don't have the dies for this stamp set so I tried cutting them out with my Scan n Cut. I think it did a pretty good job but I've signed up for an Udemy course and hopefully, I'll get better at using it. I used the PTI Canvas and Linen Impression plate on the panel for some texture and inked around the edge to help it stand out on the card in the absence of a mat.

Why not pop over to the HLS Blog to see lots of inspiration from the team?

MFT Sweet Holiday Penguins and PTI Candy Cane Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to the last Christmas Challenge of the year from Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge. Can you believe it is only 21 sleeps to the big day?

Our final challenge of the year is Candy Cane but of course, you can enter any Christmas card if that doesn't tickle your fancy.
I came up with this card

I cut the MFT Peekaboo Wonky Window from a panel of card and embossed it with the PTI Canvas and Linen Impression Plate.  Then I created a little snow scene to go behind it and added the Sweet Holiday Penguin which I die cut and coloured with Copics before adding some glitter to the hat. I stamped and cut the PTI Candy Canes, arranged them to create a frame around the image, and finished off with a sentiment from the penguin stamp set.

I hope you have a lovely run up with all your preparations, and if you pop over to the HLS blog, you will find lots of inspiration for your last minute cards.

Thank you for your visits and support of the challenge, we really do appreciate it.

Bugaboo Stella Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to the November challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge

Our optional twist this month is Bah Humbug and I had to put my thinking cap on for this one! I went through all my supplies looking for ideas without finding anything, but before giving up on the twist for the first time this year, I had a browse through a box of images that I had leftover from previous projects and came across this image of Bugaboo's Stella looking suitably grumpy!

I quickly coloured the image with Copic markers, stamped a rug and added the sentiment which was embossed in white. I glazed Stella's glasses and the baubles on the tree with a glaze pen and they look quite nice in person, but don't show up in the photos,

I really needed a quick card this time because I've not been feeling very creative. The return of my cough added to a sore throat leads me to think I must be run down as I'm picking things up so easily. I'll have to look for a pick me up remedy! What's your recommendation for one?

I hope you are all keeping well and fighting off the bugs. Only one more HLS challenge to go before the big day. Yikes - that is scary!!!
