Crafter's Companion Snowman and Honeybee Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to February at ABC Christmas Challenges.

This time we have

 C for Cute

and/or

 D for Die-Cuts

Lynda is our lovely host this time and she has a great prize up for grabs for the winner.

This is my C for Cute

I inked up some white card with blue inks and then used a Honeybee snowflake embossing folder. I inked over the raised snowflakes to add some more colour and used them as the background. The snowbank was cut from Spellbinders glitter foam with a Penny Black Festive Family die set, and the penguins were cut from the same set. The cute snowman is from Crafters Companion, and I finished it off with a sentiment die from Spellbinders.

D for Die-Cuts

For this quick one, I cut a square of blue glitter card and added snowflakes cut with the Card Making Magic Dashing Through The Snow die set. The corner was cut 4 times and placed around the edges of the card to frame the Simon Says Stamp sentiment.

There is a lot of inspiration on the ABC Christmas Challenges blog and you can add your card there if you want to join in the fun.

Concord and 9th and Pretty Pink Posh rainbow new baby card

Hello everyone and welcome to a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More.

This time we are looking at cards for any occasion, and I went with a new baby card.

I used a stitched hexagon from Card Making Magic for the background and opened up my new Rainbow Stitches and Strings dies from Concord and 9th. I cut the rainbow from a few scraps of Crafter's Companion papers languishing in my stash and arranged them on the card. I decided to use a CC cloud die and after I cut it, I turned the die over and went around the edge with an embossing tool to give a little depth and dimension.

The sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh was cut three times and stacked, and to finish off, I scattered a sprinkle of stars around everything.

I can't wait to see which occasion you will choose to make a card for. It's an ideal opportunity to see where you have gaps in your card supply!

We are still waiting for the roof to be finished off (there is a shortage of building supplies because of Covid and Brexit) because we are waiting for end ridge tiles to come into stock. They tell us that they will finish everything off in a day once they have the tiles but they have been off-site for more than a week now. At least it has been quiet but it would be good to get the outside cleaned up!
