Papertrey Ink Happy Birthday card

Hello everyone, today is the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop and it is far too long since I joined in. When I saw the gorgeous inspiration photo and knew I had to make a card for a friend (Happy birthday Ann!), I couldn't help but play along this time.

Inspiration

I loved the soft greens and pinks in the photo so I took my inspiration from them, and also from the lovely rose. I cut a rectangle of chevron vellum from the sheer basics pack, embossed the word birthday in white, and then stuck it to a panel of spring moss card. I used some ancient vellum tape from my stash and just used it on the more opaque parts of the vellum so it wouldn't show through.

I then cut a couple of Happys from the One Liners Happy dies and stacked them to make a thicker piece and adhered this to the vellum. Next, I stamped a pretty rose from the Bitty Bouquets and fussy cut it before attaching it to the panel, and coating it with some WOS.

All that was left was to raise the panel with some fun foam and fix it to the white base card.

I'd like to take this card to play at

Cards in Envy - tickled pink (have a pink focal point)

Crafty Cardmakers #156 - for a special woman

Eureka stamps #181 - tic tac toe - I took the diagonal line diecuts , embossing and flowers

Thanks for stopping by

Hugs
Carol x

WOWZER, Carol, this is fabulous! I've "pinned" this as it's an awesome design for using the designed vellum, which I've been hoarding.
