Today I'm sharing a card for the latest challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, where our theme is Any Occasion.
For this card, I dusted off an old Papertrey Ink Harlequin Coverplate die. It's always satisfying to give neglected supplies a new outing, and I had great fun creating this design.
I die-cut the coverplate twice from two different shades of aqua card and then pieced the elements together to create this geometric strip. To add extra interest, I triple heat embossed all the die-cut pieces with clear embossing powder. The multiple layers of embossing create a glazed effect that catches the light and gives plenty of dimension.
Keeping the background as the star of the show, I finished the card with a simple thank you sentiment, but the design could be used for many occasions.
I'd love to see what you create for the challenge this week. Whether it's a birthday, thank you, celebration or just because card, we can't wait to be inspired by your projects.
