Penny Black First Blush, and Papertrey Ink Get well card

Hello everyone and welcome to the August Watercolour Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. This time our optional twist is flowers, but you don't have to use that theme to join in if you would rather do something else.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS AND YOU ARE OUR
RANDOM WINNER, YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

I went with the twist and came up with this card

1) Die cut a piece of watercolour card with a stitched rectangle die and stamp the Penny Black First Blush clink stamp onto it with archival ink.

2) Sponge the edges of the card with Distress Oxide ink in Broken China.

3) Colour the flowers with Zig Pure Colour watercolour pens.

4) Stamp the sentiment using the Papertrey Ink Think Big Favourites #14 and Versamark Black Onyx ink. I had to do a little stamp surgery to the stamp but it is recovering well!

5) Die cut a scalloped rectangle from black card and glue it to a white card base, then raise the flower panel on fun foam and adhere it to the card.

6) Finish off by adding some Hero Arts pearls.

We have been getting some amazing entries for this challenge and I can't wait to see what you all put in the gallery this time. There's lots of inspiration over on the HLS blog, and you can also see a fabulous card from Cathy our guest designer this month. You can link up your creations over there too.

Beautiful card Carol. I'm loving all these gorgeous floral images this week. It's pretty bleak here. Love the bright pinks in front of that clear blue sky. Nice finish with the pretty pearls.
