Hello everyone and Happy February! Gosh, I do find January a loooong month, so I'm glad to see it gone and celebrate that we are another month closer to spring. So, welcome to another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More. We have such a talented pool of crafters joining us in the challenge each time and if you had a look in the gallery, you will understand why it was really hard to choose winners from all the creative cards that were presented for the Make Your Mark theme!
This time we have our Christmas theme and I hope you will join us.
I came up with this card using a new (to me) stamp set from Taylored Expressions called Seasonal Sprig.
I began by cutting a stitched rectangle and then used the Taylored Expressions Masking Stencil to mask off a smaller rectangle to fit inside the stitching line, and blended a couple of blue inks to create the background.
I stamped the sprig onto watercolour card coloured with Zig Clean Colour brush pens and a water brush before using my Scan n Cut to cut out the image.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I used Scarlet Jewel Ink from Papertrey Ink to coordinate with the berries. A few scattered pearls finished it off.
I'd like to play along at
You'll find lots of inspiration from my teammates over on the ATSM Blog, and you can place your entries into the gallery over there.
Thanks for stopping by

Oh Carol this card is so lovely it's so delicate hugs Sue x
This is just beautiful...love it!
This is delightful. The colours on the sprig are deep and striking balanced by the soft blue on the edges of the card.
Thank you for sharing with us at NBUS.

Carol, this is one really pretty card. The sprig and the red berries are beautiful and I love how you used a masking stencil to mask off a smaller rectangle. The font on the sentiment looks fabulous too. A real special card x.
Beautiful card! Love those pretty berries colored beautifully! Lovely background and sentiment, too!
A gorgeous creation with such beautiful coloring and detail work!
This is stunning Carol, I love that it hangs over the edge of the die cut layer, beautiful colouring and I also love the sentiment.
I'm with you about seeing the back of January :)

That sprig makes for a beautiful Christmas card under your design eye, Carol! Love your blending, coloring, and framing to bring it to life! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Take care! Hugs, Darnell
Wow Carol, I love this striking Christmas card! I really love how you made the background by inking after masking it off, it really lets the berries and leaves pop. And speaking of those berries and leaves, I so love that branch! You have done a beautiful job of coloring it with your Zigs. That's the perfect sentiment to go with it too. Well done...as always! Hugs, Brenda
