Papertrey Ink and Happy Little Stampers Christmas card

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Card Challenge

This time we are asked to make a shaped card, and I came up with this quick and CAS design.

I cut the scalloped card shape and panels on my Silhouette Cameo, and die cut the 'merry' and holly from Papertrey Ink dies. The 'Christmas', from Happy Little Stampers Mixed Christmas Messages
was stamped with scarlet jewel ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used the trick of applying Versamark Ink to my stamp before adding the dye ink and this keeps the ink wet long enough to add the embossing powder. This is such a great trick because it means you can emboss in almost any colour of ink you have!

To finish it off, I drew round the holly leaves and shaped them a little before adding some glossy accents berries. This card would be so easy to mass produce.

We are lucky enough to have Rahmat join us as Guest Designer this month and she has the cutest bauble card to share with us.

Why not pop over to the Happy Little Stampers Blog to see what inspiration my talented Team Mates have for you. You have until the 28th March to add your card and you will  feel very virtuous that you are squirreling away a stash of cards ready for next Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by

Hugs

This is too fun. What a great shape, and I'll bet it will be the only shaped card received next year by a very lucky recipient.

I love this.. I never knew that trick of the embossing ink first... does it contaminate your dye ink? What an awesome card... love all the little touches.. those holly leaves are too cute.
