Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to Dotty Jo who is a new follower this week. I've just come back from a pleasant few days away with my daughter and we spent our time exploring Chester and the Wirral, eating too much and watching the Olympics when we could. I'm not usually one for watching much sport but I've been quite moved when watching some of the medal ceremonies and seeing how proud the athletes are of their wonderful achievements. I embarrassed DD by getting tearful in the middle of a Department Store that was showing a mixed South African team getting a gold medal to the sound of the SA National Anthem. Wonderful stuff.
Well when I got back I wanted to play a little so I looked at this week's
LIM challenge which is to use green and blue together on a card. Mandie and Chrissie mention the old saying '
Blue & Green should not be seen, Unless there's a colour in between!' I've never understood this saying because, in my opinion, one of the best colours schemes in nature is green leaves against a beautiful blue sky, so I think the saying must have been coined by the the fashion police of the day!

Anyway this is the card I came up with using some blue and green card, a heart die and the PTI set Heart to Heart 3, stamped in Versamark ink, and the sentiment which I selectively inked to get on two lines, came from Little Lady. I stamped the word 'celebrate' in blue ink but it doesn't show up well in the photo - it looks darker in real life, and a few tiny gems add a little sparkle.
Thanks for looking in and I'm now off to start looking at all the lovely entries this week.
Hugs

Very sweet card. I just love all those hearts lined up. And, I'm right there with you on getting sentimental at the olympics.
This is a fantastic happy card, Carol! Love everything about it. You have coined a new phrase now: blue and blue are best with green in between!
What a lovely card - and so many others on your blog. I'm a big admirer of the CAS style, but can't pull it off myself - these are great! Thanks so much for stopping by at Words and Pictures.
