PTI masculine birthday card

Blog-hop-logo

Hello everyone and welcome to a wet Bank Holiday weekend in Manchester. Am I downhearted? Not a chance, because it gives me a good excuse to stay indoors and craft today. I can't hang any washing out, we are not entertaining this weekend so I don't need to be in the kitchen and all this equals one happy gal settling in for the day!

Today is PTI bloghop day and we were given these lovely photos to inspire us

Blog-hop-1Blog-hop-2

Aren't the pictures gorgeous and autumnal? Even though I don't want to wish the last of the summer away, I was really drawn to the textures and colours in these pics. I decided to pick out some of the colours, and the herringbone and argyle patterns for my card. I have a lot of trouble making cards for men but I think this one would do.

I cut out a herringbone pattern in brown card with my Silhouette Cam and matted it onto fine linen card. I used canyon clay and spring moss ink to stamp the argyle pattern and sentiment tag, and a couple of brads and some scraps of ribbon finished it all off.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the hop.

Hugs

Lovely card! I just bought a Silhouette but have not had a lot of time to use it. This is fantastic.

Cool argyle and I guess I'm going to have to get a Silhouette. I like that herringbone all cut out. Very nice card.

Excellent card. I like the argyle strip! I hardly ever use mine but this may inspire me to work with it some more.

This is a terrific masculine card. I love the colors and mix of patterns. So sorry about your weather. We've got the Manchester game on TV right now, and I can see the torrential downpour. Seems like it's always raining at Premier League soccer games.

Everything is awesome! The cut background, the colors and the large argyle look perfect. My favorite part are the three little ribbons on the right edge, the position of the oranges moves the eye just right.
