I am playing catch up with Summer Camp
and for Day 9 we were asked to use some Christmas stamps for a non Christmas card using this week's colours. I decided to use this Christmas tree stamp from Papertrey Ink Tree Trimming Trio and
I stamped the tree in blue, brown and 2 shades of green and cut small triangles from them to make a banner on a birthday card.
I sponged the sky background and stamped the grass with a Hanging Out stamp, before stamping the washing line from the same set. I stuck on the pennants, added some glossy accents for a little texture, and added 2 felt birds to sing to each other. I like mixing sentiments and I love the Polka Dot Parade stamp set that has the 'Don't worry, be happy' phrase so I added the little musical notes to show the birds are singing. The phrase 'it's just a number' is really speaking to me at the moment because I am reaching my BIG 60th birthday in September and it seems like a big milestone to me!! I finished off the card by cutting a circle for the sun and using a glitter pen to add some detail.
I'm going to enter this into the Moxie Fab World Birthday challenge
Well I'm off to start food prep but thanks for stopping by.

Wonderful design! Love your card Carol!
How clever to just use part of the Christmas tree stamp, Carol! No one would never know! I love the sweet little scene you have created with the birds and the sediments and the musical notes; lots of lovely details to have your card front tell a story! I hope you enjoyed the concert!!
ooh this is sooo sweet, love it.
