Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge ' Snow much fun'

Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge

Hello everyone,

It's time for another challenge over at the Holly Jolly Christmas challenge blog, and this time our hostess is Cindy and our sponsors are

Fitztown

and

Art by Miran

The challenge is 'snow much fun and I came up with this card;-

I had fun with this one and went through a lot of versions before I ended up with this:) I really wanted to emboss the acetate but I did not have a heat proof version so it just buckled when I used the heat gun. My white staz on ink had gone weird in the bottle and came out a murky grey, so I had to settle for Brilliance Moonlight White ink which dried in a couple of hours. It isn't as bright as embossed snowflakes would have been, but I'm quite pleased with the results. I stamped inside the card with the word 'snow' in pale blue ink and die cut and stamped the word 'snow' for the front.
It wasn't easy to photograph, but here is a front view, although it reflects the flash!

Whenever I make an acetate card, I'm always unsure of where to write the personal greeting, but on this one it can be written on the back or inside behind the die cut.

I do hope you'll join in our challenge - why not drop by  the Holly Jolly blog to see the talent of my fellow teamies.

I'd like to enter this into the Christmas cards all year round challenge - use blue and white,
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge - anything goes, and the Brown Sugar challenge to use a die cut or a punch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs
Carol x

Loving your card Carol, I do like acetate cards although I'm not really brave enough to have ago! I think the snowflakes have turned out just fine and look pretty bright to me ;)

Have a good week,

Your acetate looks awesome with the pretty snowflakes. I don't think I've ever stamped on acetate but love the look. Beautiful card!

This is fabulous. I have never had luck with clear card fronts--where would I write my message, but I think you have it right, because you left a space under the die cut. So cool that you repeated the stamping inside, too.
