Clearly Besotted and Papertrey Ink Poinsettia Christmas card

Hello everyone, and a special welcome to Suchi of Suchi's CardStock who has joined us as a new follower this week.Suchi is a talented artist who has an art blog as well as her craft blog and she loves making anything card related. She has some tips and tutorials on her blog too, so do have a rummage round when you pop over to say hello.

Over at Christmas Card Challenges this week we have a colour challenge with a holiday palette. You can use all the colours or choose a few to create a card and link it up on our challenge blog. We had some fabulous entries last week so thank you for sharing them with us, and you can see if you were a winner over on the blog.

I chose to use the gold, soft grey and claret colours for my card and I came up with this:-

I used some textured gold card for my background and cut 2 smaller grey panels to go on top, leaving a gap so the gold card could show through. I then die cut and stamped a poinsettia flower from the Clearly Besotted Peaceful Poinsettias stamp set in scarlet jewel ink from Papertrey Ink, and layered it over a leaf die cut. For the centre of the flower, I took some tiny pearls and coloured them with a gold pen and placed them in a circle. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Think Big Favorites #8 and some sequins from Simon Says Stamps finished it off.

Why not pop over to the Christmas Card Challenge blog to see some inspiration from our Design Team members, then get a bit inky and join us this week.

I'd like to play along with

Fab n Funky - Christmas

Loves Rubber Stamps challenge - use at least 2 die cuts

Big Quick Quotes challenge - add a flower

Thanks for stopping by
