Hello everyone and welcome to our challenge over at Christmas card Challenge. The theme this week is anything goes so why not join in and have some fun
We had a challenge a few weeks ago that used a pastel colour palette and I so enjoyed playing with non traditional colours that I decided to try it again this week.
I used another unused tree stamp without a label that has been in my stash for years and stamped it twice using the Brilliance Twilight multicoloued pigment ink pad before embossing it with clear poweder. Sadly, this will be the only time I get to use this stamp because it had become brittle over time and tore as I was lifting it from my block. I hope this has taught me a lesson about not leaving stamps for years without using them :-(
I stamped and embossed the sentiment from PTI Think Big Favorites #8 using the same ink pad and then used gel glaze pens to add dots of colour to the trees and give them some texture. I cut the lilac panels from lilac shimmer card with the Simon Says Stamp Frames Craft Dies and layered the card up on the base card.
You can find lots of inspiration from my talented DT mates over on the Christmas Card Challenges blog.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs

Such a rainbow of pretty pastels Carol, such a shame that it's the only outing for this gorgeous stamp though xx
This is gorgeous Carol. I love the sentiment and how the color varies. Sorry to hear that it ripped.

How pretty is this? I love the non-traditional colors you used on this. I always see your cards for this challenge and think that I want to try it and then I can't because I just cannot think of Christmas right now. Totally overwhelming!! Come October I will be up for it though. I love your line of trees and the shimmer on the matting is lovely. Such a beautiful card.
This is really stunning with the soft pastel colors!! Love the beautiful frame around your trees as well!! HUGS :) (Drat! Hate it when that happens! Sorry to hear that it ripped!)
