Papertrey Ink Lovely Laurels card for blog hop

Hello everyone, and a very Happy Easter to you. We are having lovely weather today and all the spring bulbs are blooming beautifully in the garden, so it really is a happy day! I don't know about you, but spring is my favourite season - full of hope and new life after the long winter, and if you are lucky enough to have a garden or be near the countryside or even a park, you see something new and beautiful every day. Another reason it's a happy day is that it is also the day for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop, and this time Nichole gave us this image for inspiration

Blog hop inspiration 5

I immediately thought of the Lovely Laurels stamp set and came up with this card. I used one of the papers that came in the kit and stamped and die cut the laurel wreath, bird and some flower sprigs to layer on it.

I used a Simon Says Stamp frame die to provide the background and then tilted the centre panel, added a bow, and finished off with some pen stitching.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

I'd like to also play along with

Thanks for stopping by

PS hope you get lots of chocolate!

This is beautiful Carol! I always love the PTI projects! I get very envious when I see amazing projects like this, as I love all the PTI stamps & IP, but their shipping is prohibitively high, and coupled with our crippling duty, tax and Royal Mail 'handling charges', makes each item around 3x the original cost! Have a very lovely Easter weekend! Hazel xx
