Papertrey Ink and My Favorite Things birthday card

Hello and welcome to the Happy Little Stampers Case the Designer Challenge

and this time our muse is the lovely Asa who gave us this gorgeous card to CASE

I took inspiration from the circle shape and the large black 'happy' to come up with this CAS card.

I tried a new to me masking technique for this card and die cut a circle from some masking paper. I placed the negative piece on the MFT Garden Flourish Background stamp leaving the circle exposed. I then inked up the circle with two colours of green ink, removed the mask, spritzed lightly with water and then stamped the impression onto some white card. I cut this panel down, leaving the image off to one side, and added a greeting cut from one of the PTI One Liner Happy Dies, before stamping the rest of the greeting underneath.

I mounted the panel onto some black card and then onto the bottom right of the base card using some fun foam to give some dimension. To finish off, I added a few orange flower sequins and used some Wink of Stella Glitter Pen on the image.

I hope you will pop over to the HLS blog to see more of Asa's card and all the inspiration from the rest of the team.

This works well as a CASEing of Asa's card Carol and the green circle going off the edge of the card and the striking black mat with the sentiment in black as well makes it stand out beautifully and love the orange sequins to finish. x

A great take on the inspiration card, I love your version. I find CAS cards so difficult to create but you have got it nailed here. I love the inked flourish as your background, a super technique.
