I began by using Gansai Tambi watercolour paints and watercolour card to create my background, and when it was dry, I cut it with a stitched rectangle die. I then stamped and embossed the shine bursts (from PTI Shine stamp set) and sentiment with silver embossing powder. To make the doves, I stamped the birds from the Papertrey Ink Christmas Faith stamp set using paint instead of ink for a soft look and a black glaze pen to emphasise the eyes, before I used the matching dies to cut them out.
I shaped the doves a little before adding them to the card with some dimensional glue gel, and die cut the peace word from mirror card using the PTI one liner die. The panel was backed with some more mirror card and it was then added to the base card on some fun foam.
How are you getting on with your Christmas cards? I have to admit that I still have lots to make but I am pleased to add this one to my pile. Why not pop over to the Happy Little Stampers blog to see some more inspiration from the team and join in with us this month.
