My Favorite Things Stitched Heart Grid card

Hello everyone and welcome to the new Anything Goes challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More

I hope you aren't tired of hearts after Valentines Day because I couldn't wait to use my new Stitched Heart Grid dies from MFT.  I'm still in love with my new Sparkle Pens from Spectrum Noir because they make it so easy to whip up a background, and they seem to be making an appearance on every card I make at the moment!

1) Take a piece of white card and colour it with a red and orange sparkle pen, ombre style.

2) Cut the stitched heart die from the coloured, sparkly card.

3) Cut some white card with a stitched rectangle die and cut the stitches grid die towards the top of the rectangle.

4) Stamp the sentiment from PTI Happy For You stamp set in Hero Arts Pale Tomato shadow ink, and then stamp over it again with versamark ink and emboss it with clear embossing powder. I used my Misti for this to get correct placement.

5) Take another piece of white card and colour the edges with the sparkle pens to provide a mat for the white rectangle, Layer things up and raise the panel on the base card with fun foam.

6) Shape the hearts and glue them to the grid in the red to orange order.

Tip - I got correct placement by temporarily sticking the piece of card I had cut the hearts from, over the grid, and glued the hearts through it.

I decided not to make the greeting too specific so I can make it into a wedding or anniversary card by adding a second greeting inside the card when the time comes for me to use it.

Why not hop over to the ATSM blog to see some more inspiration, and join in with us this time.

I'd like to play along with

Crafty Friends challenge - all that glitters

Digi design challenge - use die cuts or punches

Thanks for stopping by

That little hearts die is so cute, Carol, and you've made it a stand out with the ombre coloring including the border. This is such a love card for many occasions.

Love the ombre effect Carol. I'm a bit besotted with my Zigs at the moment but those sparkle pens look cool too! Perhaps I might indulge in a clear one or two or three! :)
