Hello everyone and welcome to Challenge #124 over at Simply Create Too where we have a Love theme in honour of the upcoming Valentine's day
I decided to make a CAS card with a bit of sparkle
1) Take a piece of white card and brush on 2 shades of Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens (Berry and Apricot), then blend the colours together with water and a flat brush. I used a red and orange pen because I think the touch of orange adds some interest.
2) Once the card is dry, cut the Simon Says Stamp Heart Parade Die from it and retain the centre heart strip.
3) This clever die cuts an outline too, so cut it again using silver holographic card.
4) Cut a thin strip of card and apply double sided tape to it before attaching the silver outline. Then inlay the hearts to the outline.
5) Die cut some black card with a stitched rectangle die, and stamp and emboss the sentiment from SSS Handwritten Borders along the bottom with silver detail embossing powder. ( Note to self - if you use an anti static powder tool on the black card, don't forget to dust off the powder before taking a photograph - duh!) I've had this border set for a couple of years but not used it so it is officially NBUS!
6)Attach the heart strip to the black card, raise the panel onto the base card with fun foam, and finish off by adding a gem to the largest heart.
The Spectrum Noir pens add a lot of sparkle and the bonus is that it doesn't rub off like glitter! My talented Teamies have lots of inspiration to show you on the SCT blog, and you have two weeks to join in with us on the challenge. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
I'd like to play along with
Darnell's NBUS challenge - use NBUS
Craft Rocket Challenge - It's a love thing
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - the colour of love
Retro Rubber Challenge - Cross my Heart
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs

Simple Love...ly!
Love this! So sparkly!
Hello: I love your CAS and romantic card, the black background really makes your beautiful die cut line of sparkly hearts pop!!
The sentiment also looks awesome, wish you could tell us at RETRO RUBBER how old is that stamp, we love to see older than one year stamps used.
Thank you for sharing, hope you join us again next time.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
What a beautiful card Carol! I love that die and keep looking at it when I go and browse SSS, but have yet to buy it. Don't ask me what I'm waiting for! lol The sparkle on the hearts looks so beautiful and I bet it looks even more beautiful in person. Love, love, love! Hugs, Brenda
Whoo hoo, it does sparkle and I love it. I love the silver embossing. I had to answer your comment on my blog and I did laugh when I read it because I had to use NEW bubble wrap since I always pop it as soon as I get!
What a fabulous die and the combination of red and orange that you created under it was a great choice. I like the detail of the stitched edge to the black rectangle - it really adds to your design. A beautiful card. Could you please add in the approximate date of your stamp as we like to know what retro rubber you're giving the love to. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber for this challenge.
...and I love everything about that card!! The shimmer on the hearts looks fantastic xx
Pretty CAS card! Your choice of colors are wonderful! The black rectangle make it all stand out so nicely. Thanks for playing along with us at Retro Rubber and hope you will join us again soon.
What a stunner! I have the clear SN pen but really hadn't thought about what you could do with the colored ones. Totally cool look! Hugs!
Oh wow!! I LOVE how you used the clear pen on this and made your own red paper. LOOKS FABULOUS!! You have the greatest ideas and do things that I would never think of (an am too lazy to do-lets be honest!!) Thank you for this beautiful inspiration!!
Fun, fun card! Love the hearts all the way sticking out.
Love your hearts and the CAS card. Thanks for playing along with Retro Rubber challenge!
Carol, this card is delightful! Love the heart border and stitching as well as the silver emboss. Still not sure of the age of the sentiment (which is fantastic) which coordinates so well with the heart border trim! Very lovely. Please let us know the age of the sentiment stamp so that we can consider you for our favorites! Hope to see you in our gallery often!!
Love seeing these hearts, Carol, and the sentiment is a sweet one, too! Thanks for playing along with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
I have this die and I love using it. You have really showcased it perfectly. I love the silver outline. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber. Claire DT
