Hello and welcome to the first ABC Christmas Challenge of 2021 as we take another annual stroll through the alphabet.
The lovely Helen is our host this month and our themes are
A - Advent
and
B - Bells
There will be
little prize from Helen
for the randomly drawn winner.
Advent for me has always been a time of waiting and preparing, and I think this card is suitable for the theme because it shows the Shepherds looking at the star and waiting for the birth that had been foretold. I don't know where their sheep have got to though!
I used the Clarity Stamps Shepherd's Window die to cut the image from black card and used some Clarity paper behind it. A little glitter on the star and some flat layers finished off the card which has the bonus of being inexpensive to post.
My second card uses the Crafter's Companion Decorative Bell die.
I cut the die using white card and adhered it to some new blue glitter card. This was layered onto shiny blue mirror card and then onto a base card. The bell was also backed with glitter card
I angled the bell, added some gems and a stamped and die-cut bow. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's Most Wonderful stamp set.
These were very quick and simple card to put together, and they would be great for mass producing!
I'd like to play along at
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs

Both are so beautiful.
You are off to a great start for your Christmas 2021 cards Carol! I love both of these, the shepherd's die is so beautiful and you have made a stunning card with it. Loving that inky background, it just pops on the black! Your bell card is so ornate and beautiful. Love the white and blue color combo, the glitter and mirror paper just pulls it all together. Beautiful cards my friend! Hugs, Brenda
Beautiful cards Carol - love that gorgeous shade of blue glitter on the Bell card!

Gorgeous cards Carol, your Shepard card is wonderful, you ask where the sheep are? - at their feet? :) Love your bell card, so beautiful in the blues with the touch of red.

You have captured the stained glass look perfectly on your Advent card, Carol! (Silly shepherds, so busy gazing at the star they've lost track of their sheep. ;) ) This is a beautiful bell die plate, and looks wonderful on the pretty blue glitter card. Happy and let's hope healthy 2021 to you!
A fabulous Advent card Carol, pretty colours and your second card is beautiful, a super die.

love those blues with the pop of red ... so glad you shared both your new & old with us at Jingle Belles.
These are beautiful Carol! Love the stain glass shepherds (perhaps their names are Little, Bo and Peep?!) and that glittery star. The ornate bell card is wonderful too with its touches of red and I bet it looks even more sparkly in real life! You are really inspiring me to start making Christmas cards again!! Vicky x
