I can't think where the past week has gone and we're already into another one. I have been busy reading our next book club offering which is The Room by Emma Donoghue. I am still only half way through and it is our discussion night on Wednesday, so I have to get my skates on. I have also been looking at the Papertrey Ink countdown to the new release and I have my eyes on two new gorgeous background stamp sets, Twinkle and Gingham and my resolve to reduce spending on new stuff is dwindling fast.
The Make it Monday challenge this week is to use an embossing plate on part of a card, so I thought I'd play along and make a Mother's Day card as it is creeping up fast, and I'd also like to enter into the Simon Says stamp challenge.
I used the canvas side of the PTI Linen /Canvas impression plate on half of my aqua mist card stock and embossed 3 lines to disguise the crease this left. I used a stamp from PTI With Sympathy and and stamped it through a circular mask onto a circle cut from the Limitless Layers die set in Hawaiian shores and melon berry ink, and layered it up on some Nestability circles. I took the sentiment from Delightful Dahlia and stamped it onto a Nestabilities Fancy Tag Die. I finished the card off with some Melon Berry ribbon and a couple of aqua mist buttons.
Have a great week and thanks for looking in.
Hugs

wow! I have a big shot also and can never get an impression that deep - what's your sandwich? Beautiful card - very elegant.
You got a GREAT impression, it's lovely! I love all your layers, beautiful card.
Carol this is so pretty! I love your color combo!
So nice!
Very subtle and pretty! Cute card Carol!
I always loved that impression plate that you used. You paired up the colors beautifully too! Beautiful card overall :)
Also, I know you asked about how I made my diagonal embossing on my card without leaving creases? I used a Cuttlebug folder and for some reason, it doesn't leave creases in my papers :) Best wishes!
I like the bit of texture with the embossing, great job on the Make It Monday challenge.
fab impression plate and lovely card! Robin
Carol! This is lovely! I love the impression you got with your plate and the color combo is so sweet! Perfect for mother's day!
What a beautiful color combo that you've come up with. The texture is the perfect finishing touch. Gorgeous!
Lovely card - perfect for a lovely Mother. And what a great impression you've managed - can never get it quite right myself. Very clever!
I love your card! I love the impression you were able to get! So pretty and I am sure your Mom will love it too! :)
Love this card and I'm also curious as to the "sandwich" you used to create your "impressive" background using PTI's plate & the Big Shot. Thanks for your time and for sharing your creative ideas with us!
