New Baby card Papertrey Ink

Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying the summer sunshine when you have it. I've been going to clean out my pantry for a couple of weeks now but I've finally learned that putting things off 'til tomorrow is a good thing when the sun is shining! I'll only mess it up again when I've been food shopping.

I'd like to share a card I made for the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday challenge which this week was to make a pocket and use it on a card.

I decided to make a baby card and made the pocket with edger dies and then repeated the cut in a contrasting colour to make a little focal edges. I finally inked up Places Please which I've had for ages and over stamped it with a sentiment from Signature Greetings.

I had a sweet little brass charm that I wanted to use that could be kept as a keepsake, so I attached it to a tag I made using the bookmark die which I shortened to fit the pocket. I just had to add one of the tiny tags (I think I'm getting addicted to these), some ribbon and a little button tied with twine so that the tag could be used as a bookmark.

A few little hearts finished the pocket off and I mounted it onto a mat of polka dot parade paper.

I really like these challenges because they encourage me to try new things.

Well I better move on because we are going to the theatre to see 'As you Like It' tonight and I need to read up on the plot before we go.

Thanks for looking.

Hugs
