Sorry to have been absent for a while but I have been coping with a nasty cold and stomach bug and therefore I was not not feeling very crafty. I have a card to share today that is a case from a card demonstrated in the Online card class by Jennifer McGuire
This card involved making a mask from the Memory Box Country Landscape die and then using distress inks to create the landscape. When the mask was removed, the snow horizon was exposed and I just added a line of stickles to give it a little sparkle.
I have some tall, thin envelopes that I want to use up so I made a tall thin card using the same die.
This time I used a portion of the die cut against some blue card that was inked around the edges. I added a silhouette stamp of Santa in the sky and white embossed the sentiment before adding some ribbon and a bow.
I hope to get back to looking at my favourite challenge blogs soon, but I'm still feeling a bit icky so it may be a few days.
Thanks for stopping by
Bugs - sorry - HUGS!

Hello from Elma
A perfect execution of masking, what a beautiful card!
Hope you are feeling much better by now Carol.
Two wonderful cards and two new uses for my die - thanks for the inspiration, especially the second one, I have a Clarity Father christmas stamp that is similar and can CASE this!

Very pretty Cards!
Have I been by and left good wishes for your improved health, Carol? I'm sorry if not. I can't remember anymore who I drug-commented (like drunk-dialing) with my laptop while in the hospital. If I haven't said so before, I'm sorry that you've been ill and I hope you are all over the ickies very soon. (I popped over to John's and left him some love. He's fun!)
Now, about your cards, can I just say that the long, thin card is STAH-UNNING!! Totally pinned!
Love these, simple and classic!!
Beautiful cards. I love the one with the inked background. TFS.
