Altenew Adore You and Papertrey Ink birthday card

Welcome to Challenge #285 over at Addicted to Stamps and More. This time we have a gorgeous inspiration photo for you

and you can interpret it in any way you like. I went with the ombre cake and flower in the bottom centre photo as my inspiration and came up with this card:-

1) Die cut a rectangle from some white card and paint it with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens in Ice Drop and Arctic, to give a shimmery ombre effect.

2) Stamp one of the flowers and a couple of leaves from the AlteNew Adore You stamp set in Versamark Ink and emboss with white powder before colouring with Ziggies. Fussy cut around them when they are dry.

3) Die cut a white oval using a Spellbinder Oval Die and stamp the sentiment from Papertrey Ink Signature Greeting 2 using blue ink.

4) Die cut a PTI Photofinisher die from white card and place down the centre of the blue panel, then adhere it to the base card.

5) Add the oval, raising it on foam, and then arrange the flower and leaves at the bottom

6) Finish off by scattering a few pink enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by, but why not drop by the ATSM blog before you leave, to see how my talented teamies have interpreted the photo.

I'd like to play along with

Cards in Envy Challenge #19 - no patterned paper

Incy Wincy Design Challenge - no more than 3 colours excluding white - I used pink green and blue

The Paper Girls Challenge #148 - embossing
