Nellie Snellen Poinsettia Corner and SSS Merry Christmas card

Hello everyone,

Well, that last fortnight whizzed by and the time has come for another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More. I hope you had a wonderful Easter break and the spring weather and colours are bringing you some joy. It seems strange to be thinking of Christmas at this time of year, but my resolution to keep on top of making my Christmas cards throughout the year is coming along nicely, (unlike the one for losing weight lol!), and taking part in this challenge is one of the reasons for that.

I'm slowly getting better with layered stamp sets and I used my NBUS Nellie Snellen Poinsettia Corner stamps to make this card using traditional Christmas colours.

I used my misti to stamp up the layers on a stitched rectangle of card and used a glaze pen on the berries to add some shine.

The die cut sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and I cut 3 layers and stacked them. All that was left, was to use some mats and add them to the base card.

I hope you will stop by the ATSM blog to see my talented teamies inspiration, and join in with us this time.

Lawn Fawn Plus One and Papertrey Ink Stitched Sentiments new baby card

Hello everyone and welcome to our ever popular anything goes challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

Lots of my daughter's friends have been having babies lately so my stash of baby cards has been raided by her and needs replenishing.

I used the Lawn Fawn Plus one stamp set for the stork (fussy cut), and the leaf spray is from a Papertrey Ink set called Stitched Sentiments. I went over the leaves with a glue pen and added some very fine glitter which sparkles nicely irl, but hasn't been picked up very well by the camera.

A stitched frame and a scattering of some tiny hearts finished it off.

As always, you can find some great inspiration from my talented teammates over on the ATSM blog, and I look forward to seeing your entry in the gallery.

Altenew Build a Flower: Peruvian Lily get well card

Hello everyone and welcome to the next challenge over at Simply Create Too, and this time we don't have a twist for you so you can go bananas with anything you like!

No photo description available.

I came up with this CAS design card

I was lucky enough to get the Altenew Build a Flower: Peruvian Lily stamp and ink set when a friend of mine visited the US. I know this flower as alstroemeria and we have it growing in our garden. It's a great flower for picking because it lasts for ages in a vase and the colours are just beautiful. The best bit is that the more you pick them, the more you seem to get!

I used the accompanying inks and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

As usual, the Design Team have some great inspiration over on the blog, and if you decide to play along with us this time, you can link up your entry there.

Personal Impressions Robin Christmas card

Hello and welcome to the new Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge. As usual, this is an anything goes as long as it's Christmas challenge but we have a fun twist to inspire you if you choose to take the challenge! Our twist this time is Nature so that gives you plenty of scope to choose from.

I used a very old Personal Impressions stamp from my stash, simply called 'Robin'

I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear EP, before watercolouring it with Zig Clear Colour Pens and a wet paintbrush.

The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted and the white frame is from Studio Katia. I finished it off with glaze for the berries and little pearls.

You will find lots of inspiration from the team over on the HLS Blog and you can link your entry to the gallery over there.

Papertrey Ink Bold Borders: Yuletide and Clearly Besotted Most Wonderful Christmas card

Hello and welcome to the April Challenge over at ABC Christmas Challenges

Our themes this month are

H for Hang it Up

and

I for Intricate

Lynda is our host this month and she is offering a couple of fabulous prizes .

and

I went with 'I' for Intricate and came up with this card.

I started by painting some card with Imagination Crafts Starlight paints in various shades of green and yellow. Once it was dry, I die cut the Papertrey Ink Bold Borders: Yuletide and was left with a lovely intricate, shimmery frame. I used a PTI Impression Plate to emboss the white stripey background and adhered the frame to it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Most Wonderful stamp set using Versafine Ink and heat set it because the ink would not dry well on the shimmery card.

We have lots of inspiration from my talented team buddies over on the ABC Christmas Challenges blog and you can link your card up over there.
