Papertrey Ink Snowglobe Christmas card and Crafter's Companion Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to the September Challenge over at  ABC Christmas Challenges

The aim of our challenge is to help you get ahead of the game and get your cards made early so you can enjoy the lead up to Christmas. Wouldn't it be great to have one of the biggest jobs done and dusted leaving you time for enjoying the festivities in the lead up to the big day? If you have played along with us all year, you are well on the way to achieving this but don't worry if you're just joining us - we have 4 challenges left and if you make some multiple copies of the cards you make, you can still catch up.

This time we have 2 themes for you

S for Snow
and
 T for Tinsel

Our lovely Wei is the hostess this month and she has a great gift for the winner.

My S for snowy card is a shaker snowglobe.

I used the Papertrey Ink Snowglobe die set, along with a Clearly Besotted Christmas tree. I stencilled the background with white pigment ink on red card and used an MFT sunray stencil.

I put acetate on the inside of the globe and added some sequins and snow glitter for the shaker element.

My T for tinsel card used a large new sentiment stamp from Crafter's Companion that I embossed with red powder.

I embossed the background using a Sue Wilson snow embossing folder, and the tree (also from CC) was stamped, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut. I added some glitter to the tinsel on the tree to give it a bit of sparkle, curved the tree and put glue gel behind it so it has sone dimension and can't be squished. The card was finished off with a little holly spring from Clearly Besotted.

We had some fabulous entries to the challenge last month, and I can't wait to see your inspiration for us this time. Don't forget to check on the blog to see if you were a winner!

I'd like to play along with

I love the colours of your shaker card - as well as the design and the shaker element! And you know, I have at least one tinsel sentiment like this, but did I think to use it? Of course not! This is a beautiful card.

Wow, loving both of these Christmas cards Carol! The shaker card is so fun and very festive. Love how you used a rays stencil on a Christmas card, it looks amazing! Your tinsel card is so pretty, I love the simplicity of it. The red make the white pop and the white makes the Christmas tree pop. Love it! Hugs, Brenda
