Hi everyone,
It's Day 14 of the Summer Card Camp and we were asked to step out of our comfort zone. I have been avoiding using vellum for as long as I can remember, and brown and kraft colours always equal masculine cards to me so I thought I would do a girly card and use some vellum too. This is what I came up with using sketch 2.
I die cut the vellum with the PTI Wine bottle tag and then embossed some lines on it using a scoreboard. I then made a larger mat by tracing round the die onto brown card and cutting it out. One of the reasons I don't use vellum is the problem of sticking it down, but this time it was easy because I tucked it over the brown mat and glued it from behind. Next I tied some twine around the panel and added a button. I made the flower by die cutting the sections in brown and cream and then layered them up after curling the edges to give a little dimension. I took some lilac card, stamped and embossed in dark purple, cut out a small circle for the centre of the flower, and then stuck the panel onto the base card. To finish it off I made a banner by cutting some card, stamping and embossing a sentiment and then scoring and folding to have the banner raised up over the panel.
