Hello everyone and a very special warm welcome to Sue who is a recent new follower. Today is the Papertrey Ink Blog hop and this time Nichole gave us a number of sketches and colours to make a card with. I chose this one
and then panicked about what I should do with such a lot of strong colours! I was about to give up when I remembered some advice from the Summer Camp Card Class which is to use colours in small amounts so I came up with this Christmas Card to add to my stash:-
I die cut scalloped circles and used a motif from Peace, Love and Joy around the perimeter in enchanted evening, plum pudding, royal velvet, Hawaiian shores and simply chartreuse. I cut another circle and stamped the warm winter wishes sentiment, embossed it in white and raised it on a pop dot. The large sentiment from Think Big Favorites 21 was stamped in royal velvet and I added a bow from Birthday Style with a Christmas stocking charm suspended on some crochet thread. This panel was impressed with the canvas plate and attached to the base card with a trim of stripey paper which I cut on a diagonal to give an echo of candy cane patterns.
Thank you for stopping by.
Hugs

This is just gorgeous. I love how you used the colors, and that little tiny stamp looks perfect as a border. I should remember your rule, too, about just using small amounts of some of the colors.
